k so i'm a little late on this, since the reissue came out
months ago. but my record store only finally got it in.

is there any difference between the original 1996 pressing,
and the 2002 reissue? i know the twoism reissue said (c)2002
on it, but i can't see that anywhere on hi scores.

just curious how i can tell? it's not actually possible i
somehow got an original, is it? ;)

fucking great record, btw. first time i've heard most of it
:D

BoC related:
can anyone be so kind as to give me the proper tracklistings
for 'a few old tunes' as well? :) much appreciated

i got mine back in 1996, suckaz!!! ... oh, wait, then again,
it may have been a re-press circa 1999 ... as far as i know
there is no difference, trackwise or else.

I still don't have this... dammit, I've tried ordering it in
through local record stores, and I can't even do that...

I just got mine at the very beginning of May, and it says
1996 on the record. I can't find "2002" anywhere

anyone know what the blind-writing on the sleeve says? my
guess is "hi scores" since it isn't written anywhere else

oh, well makes sense :P

can anyone at least tell me how many tracks there are from
"a few old tunes" and is there more than 1 volume?

offline AlbertoBalsalm from Reykjavík (Iceland) on 2003-06-30 22:49 [#00763275]

i think they're about 30. I have most of 'em, might be
missin' a couple. There are 2 volumes on the net ...the
first one has 17 mp3's but i'm not sure how many there are
on the 2nd volume

Look on the back of the CD. I believe the original had 'SKA
008 CD MPO 01' whereas subsequent versions had 02, 03 etc...
thats the only difference as far as I can see.

spoonz, there are two (known) volumes of old tunes

oh, there is a compilation of tracks from both afot and otv2
which is mislabeled as old tunes vol 2. the tracks are
legitimate, although some are mislabeled, i believe.

the braille on Skam releases always reads the albums title.

offline Joyrex from watmm.com (United States) on 2003-07-01 07:31 [#00763528]
Points: 1389 Status: Lurker

And it says "Hi Scroes"... not a accidental misspelling,
methinks ;)

The differences between the 1995 release of Twoism and the
2002 reissue are:

A slightly different font is used
The catalogue # is not BOARD1 anymore
The WARP logo is there
Chris H (Christ) is not on the reissue due to publishing
contracts

And it cost a hell of a lot less than the original pressing
(which was limited to 100 vinyl, and an unknown number of
cassettes.)

No noticiable differences on them, although there are a few.

in reply to qrter, it does not say the album title, I have
it here in my hands and I looked up a braille alphabet. It
says "Boards of Canada"

actually, this site has the alphabet, and all the
contractions, which confused since the "ar" in "boards" is
contracted to 1 symbol on the high scores sleeve, and also
"of" is contracted to one symbol

cool, thanks.

OK:
quinoline yellow - lmw motors = quiolie yellI

boc - hi scores = bo'bds R canada

skampler = skam records

bola soup = bola sHp

hmmm.. it appears skam have thier own dialect of braille

Must go home and check!

it's quite likely that a number of tracks on vol 2 are
mislabeled of not boc.

i'm sure all of afot (the first one) is real and theres
about 30 tracks altogether, although only 17 seem to have
surfaced so far
