Artists who deserve much more attention

Just list them with a description.

Codec Scovill - Amazing soundscape style stuff that is
rather dark and dreary in most parts. You definitely need to
be in the mood for it, I find listening to it while sleeping
really fucks with me.

Loess - 2/3 (memberwise) of Codec Scovill, completely
different music. It's melodic music with amazing beats,
songs like 2nd Twelve Pleuston are amazing.

Phonem - Very mechanical and beat oriented stuff. His older
collection is mostly rubbish but Hydroelectric and Ilisu are
top-notch albums.

Knifehandchop - FOR PRESIDENTZ!~!@@~!@~!~!@!

Arovane - Amazing stuff kind of in the same nature as
phonem's but more subdued. Except for Tides, which is
brilliant and completely in its own world

lusine icl

- brilliant, dare i say loungy, superbly melodic, lush
electronic tunes. idm without all the pretentiousness of
sounding abstract & difficult for the sake of showing off
your production skills. this is more about the melody and
songcraft rather than studio wankery. beautiful stuff!

great list so far, although the lot of those names get lots
of play globally. they are pretty well known.

lusine is amazing and so is arovane.

I feel that one William Idol needs to be mentioned here as
well.

vim! - keith baylis from u.k. can easily be summed up as
crunchy 8bit bleep, but he goes so much farther. has a sense
of humor and isnt afraid to show it. the only person that
consistently manages to make one laugh by virtue of being
wacky, contrary to popular belief, this is actually _very_
rare. he's got that uk/amiga sense of melody that is sorely
missed now that hardly anyone does modules anymore. VERY
tight programming, twists and turns like nobody else. wicked
production. not a single label gives him the time of day,
and he just doesn't get ahead. this man requires a proper
recorddeal. like no other.

sense - what can you say about adam raisbeck from australia?
he's been producing for so long he really should be out
there, and proper. on a big label. sublime, symphonic. yet
completely forgotten about and his stuff just isn't
available anywhere at all. again, this man requires a proper
recorddeal. and recognition.

brothomstates - what can one say about a person who's on
warp, is 100% consistently not actually listened to,
instead, chewed to bits by the press. has more technique,
pure soul and a brilliant knack for melodies than is even
conceivable. he will always have more up his sleeve than the
disbelieving listeners will give him credit for. the afx of
finland. recently (within the past 2 years) he'smanaged to
make it known that the D in IDM actually _does_ stand for
Dance, with floorshakin massive beats that you can dance to.
(just check his liveset at

defaultresponse
-> audio. ).

Vendor Refill- His old stuff (off of nature) is boring and
cliche by todays standards, but his new EP off of Coredump
is phenominal. Refreshing, inspired IDM that is truly
original. "Graduation Howler" is one of the best IDM tracks
ive ever heard, with amazing atmospheric ambience that keeps
your attention like a more energetic track would.

And i totally agree that Brothomstates and Phoenecia deserve
much more credit.

knifehandchop is awesome, i'm seeing him live in august!

Electric Company is one artist that deserves all the attention
in the world. Compared to Autechre he puts foot to ass.
Check out his "slow food" album on Planet-Mu.
