If you follow hockey, this is crazy news...Does Detriot
pick up his option?? CUJO and Hasek on the same team?? Pure
insanity..

Insanity indeed! What made him come out? (of retirement!
Geez!)

I follow hockey and, yes, it is crazy. The latest I've
heard is that he will only come back to play in Detroit.
The Red Wings will NOT keep both he and CuJo, so CuJo goes,
but he has a no-trade clause which he will have to agree to
wave, blah, blah, blah. It will play itself out over the
next few days (before July 1st). "I'm retiring" doesn't
seem to mean much anymore. It's becoming the sports
equivalent of the "Farewell Tour".

Regardless, I don't think too many people here (besides you
and I) really care, so this may not be the best place to
discuss this.

hehe you right
Virgin-dunno why he came out retirement, but I think maybe
he got tired of gooning people in recreational in-line
hockey leagues.

Cujo goes, I was thinking to Philly... maybe straight up for
LeClair... or maybe in a package deal including Gagne. But
Clarke would have to be fucking off his rocker to trade
Gagne... so that's why I kind of expect it. Cuz Clarke is a
moron.

He'd be a great fit in New York in that moneypit scrapheap,
and the Sather connection... Sather only let him go for
money issues all those years ago, and now he swims in a pool
of greenbacks... too bad he got Dunham, so I don't think
Cuchoke is going there.

I pity the fool who gets Cujo anyway.

I agree - CuJu is way overrated. Especailly at $8 million
per. There was also the rumor of Dominator in Detroit, CuJo
to NYR, and Dunham traded to the Flyers. I would very much
like that, being a Flyer fan. As much as Potvin sucks I'd
rather have him or Hackett at $4 million a year than CuJo.
Of course, Hasek would be nice!!

Hockey, now there's a fucking man's sport!

I just got back into hockey after missing it for like 3 or 4
years. Everyone got traded. Good to see Stevens still on NJ.
Are Rob Ray and Mat Barnaby still on the Sabres?

Ray is a Senator and Barnaby is a Ranger... and he actually
had a great season last year.

Actually, Matt B was in the news today... there was a rumor
today that Jagr was a Ranger, for Lundmark/Barnaby/Nedved,
but talks are off now.

I can't see Gagne getting traded for Cujo..not even Clarke
is that stupid. I don't think Clarke will trade for Cujo at
all...sure it would be a bonehead move, but not a Clarke
style bonehead move. Whenever Philly is close enough to
smell the cup, needing only a reliable goaltender to go the
distance, Clarke invarably acquires big imobile bodies. The
reason for this is unknown...
he'll prolly sign Cory Cross for 50 million. Clarke- "Cross
Big, Big good." Makes sense, right :P

Thanks ophie! I got hella lost trying to follow this
season's end. Rob and matt used to be heroes of mine.

Anyone remember that fight that broke out between Sabres and
flyers? I think like everyone was duking it out even the
goalies!

"maybe he got tired of gooning people in recreational
in-line
hockey leagues. "

haha I remember when I read that story and laughed (and yet
thought it was sad)

I'm a Wings fan and I want them to keep Cujo and trade the
rights to Hasek. Cujo actually played alright in the
playoffs this year, it was the offense that couldn't do
anything. The Wings cannot spend another 8 million on Hasek.
I don't even think they should resign Federov. Get a couple
of other players with his 10 million (that he didn't even
want to take over 5 or 4 years). Hockey is going to be a
lockout the season after next, so sign people to one year
contracts and such until the owners force a cap on the game.

Btw...so we meet again Brodeur? "Same time next year,
different result!". Just so you know!
*insert evil laughter*

well, the wings seem to be doing alright without him. manny
is fucking solid! i'm more worried about getting draper and
datsyuk back so we don't lose the number one seed going into
the playoffs.

Cujo's looking good in net so far this playoff...

a little worried about Calgary but no more than I was about
Nashville going in, because they always play Detroit well.

Hasek gave back a lot of his pay, which was pretty nice of
him.

Beating the living shit out of some Czech guy with a hockey
stick wasn't very nice, though.

Cujo is looking good, but I've never had much faith in him.
I still think the Wing have the best chance of not getting
swept by the Habs.
