I find the opposing views interesting too, but havn't
actually decided on my own view. Any consumer would like to
try something before they buy it. I rent ps2 videogames for
this reason... most of them suck. It consts 7 bucks to rent
a game though. This is high I guess, but I suppose it would
be fair to have some sort of low try before you buy price
for music. I'd probably only have to buy 3 tracks from each
artist before I knew if I'd be interested in any more of
their material anyway. If it was 25 cents a track, that
wouldn't be a big deal. It would be great if artists could
avoid middlemen and get a large chunk of this "rental"
profit.

that's interesting. it shows that he made £0.86 per copy
of vatican nitez he sold. since the price of vatican nitez
is about £11.00 that means he gets about 8% of the album
sales.

that kinda sux. this is why you should go to the shows and
buy the cd's and t-shirts there.
