velvet revolver (GNR)

is this shit going to work or not? your thoughts. i say no.
GNR are hasbeens even if technically competent musicians;
weiland is a mess. not feeling "set me free" and i thought
the cover of pink floyd's "money" used in the italian job
was horrendous. still, weiland was a better choice than the
singer from buckcherry.

g'n'r had their day in the sun. it's now time for them to
get back to hardcore drug & alcohol use and wither away and
die, methinks. they would do the world and themselves a
great favour if they stopped arsing about trying to
recapture long-lost glory and went the way of las vegas
instead.

oh, and don't hold your breath for 'chinese democracy',
unless SARS gets so bad that the people of china overthrow
their oppressive commie rulers.

isn't G'n'R a loose title now, with axel rose the only
member left, playing with buckethead, and others?

this name BITES serious ASS!

bahhhhhh

scott should stick with Stone Temple Pilots and stick to
sobriety!!! if he doesn't i fear he'll be found dead from an
OD or dead from suicide......i hope he gets his act
together.

this is the new band with all the members of GNR minus Axl,
plus scott weiland from STP.

last time weiland was in prison he met ODB.. i'd love to
hear a song by those two

IVE heard part of the song when they were doing a little
piece on "the hulk" on tv, it sounds to me really kool,
although scott will never be drug free, is this his 4th or
5th time in trouble w/the druggies ?

"i dont like drugs but the drugs like me"

STP is very weak in my opinion.

STP had a golden era on those first two albums.. a couple of
songs after those impressed me.

The saddest part about all this is that it means the 2nd
Weiland solo-album will probably be canceled :'(
I enjoyed the first one very much.

I haven't heard any of the new songs he did with GnR though.
But i'm quite curious to hear it. He's an amazing singer.

I actually never really like the 1st STP-album except for a
couple of songs.

The golden era as i see it would be purple - tiny music -
#4... three amazing albums in a row. The last one was a huge
dissapointment to me... but i'd still like another
STP-album. I believe they still have a few good songs left
in them.

Haven't heard it yet, but the name is SO dumb on so many
levels... oh Christ. It hurts my eyes to read it and my ears
to hear it.

I like Weiland though... I'm not a fan of the Guns anymore
but STP still sounds good to my ears, at least up till
96ish.

So Weiland went to the famous "Celebrity Fuckups" prison ?

I thought the band was gonna be called Reloaded ?

i got their album yesterday. its quite old school. Sort of
early 90's vibe. Basically, its guns and roses with STP.
DUUUUUUUUH. Anyway, i like it, nice kind of retro feel. Good
to drive to. The end .

than most messages on this board.

just one thing: anagram is spelled with just one "n".

oh. Me so stupid.

gack is spelt c-u-n-t-w-a-t.

"i ban users with too slow connection. and, of course,
tose
who do not share or just share total bullshit. "

"just found these two mp3s... heartbreaking 80ies
electro."

"though i am a vegetarian" - explains a lot

"i cannot yet say if i think it´s good - but it´s fun and
it
sounds psychic. " - err, what?

"mp3 is a violation of music. even a "cd quality" rip (i
once
tried 256 kbit/s) of e.g. gantz graf destroys everything
worth being listened to. "

"mp3 album by me:"

Listening to it now and... I like it. I wasn't exactly
holding my breath for Velvet Revolver. Especially after the
last STP-album.

But when I first heard Slither I thought it was a really
good song. And now I'm listening to the album... it's
actually pretty good.

It's funny, at the intro of every song I instantly think
"Guns 'n Roses"! And then when he starts singing it sounds
totally STP all of a sudden.

Well, a year later, I'm still not excited about it. I gave
it a download and a listen the other day, and it went in one
ear and out the other. And I'm not the kind of guy to shrug
off good guitar music.

I've only heard the song "Slither" on the radio many, many
times (I drive for my job and there's not even a goddamned
tape player, so I listen to lots of radio) and I must say I
think it sucks. I don't want to hear any more.
