VALENTINE........mauahahahah GOT YA!

ok ok .....better late than NEVAH, just got LOVELESS in NYC
the other day (along with a bonus Best of British CD at
Virgin) and i have to say it's completely perfect.

i've heard songs off this CD for a while now, but listening
to it as a complete whole is just beyond WORDS. what
happened to them.....waaaaaaaaahhhhhh

'when you sleep' is my favourite at this JUNCTURE!

discuss amoungst yerselves or NOT!

Definitely in my top 10 albums ever.

You may follow up your excursion into noise pop with such
fine albums as these:

flying saucer attack - s/t
jesus and mary chain - psychocandy
lush - gala
mercury rev - yerself is steam
pale saints - comforts of madness
ride - nowhere
spacemen 3 - perfect prescription

I managed to just swing a gamecube in a carrier bag and hit
myself in the nuts with the corner. Those things may look
cute but they're sharp as fuck. Owwwwwwwww!

remix of 'Soon' !

andy weatherall's remix isn't nearly as good as the
original. seek out, instead, the "tremolo" and "glider"
eps, which are, along with "loveless", their best work.

more recommendations:

the boo radleys - everything's alright forever
slowdive - blue day
slowdive - souvlaki

is their name supposed to be a play on "my funny valentine"
?

plaidzebra: I didn't mean to imply that it was better. :-)

q+4: it's from a b movie slasher flick

thanx man.....i've heard of ALL three of those
groups.....have some slowdive on my pooter right
now.....ahhahah

btw....WHAT you WANT! was divine....ohhhh man this is gonna
be played a lot in the next few days, then i'll be bemoaning
the BREAK up!!!!

crap....i sometimes hate getting into bands that are long
since broken up, cos you wonder why they stopped making such
GREAT music.....damn them!

was the movie called that as well?
maybe the title of the movie was the play on words..bloody
instead of funny
good song though..
and band..

inverted whale, i didn't think that you were saying the
"soon" remix was better than the original. it's fresh in
my mind cuz i digitized the vinyl not long ago, and was
struck by how stale and cheesy andy weatherall's remix
sounded, while the original hasn't aged at all.
