OLA!!!!
Just back...... my fuckface freinds!

Highlights:
HELLFISH .. pure gabba heaven like Aphex at
sonar2001 with lots of physical presence and i got a fucking

12" he threw at the crowd at the end. BANGING!

TIM HECKER amazing trippy soundscapes. Best
beatless ambient noise i´ve ever heard! Helped by the
chilled out under-the-sun vibe.

CHRIST ...... amazing, IDM with seriously cool
sound from this BoC connected scotsman. Out there and on my

top ten next purchases/download lists

PHOENECIA
Top class glitch. absolutely A-1 sounds from these chaps.
You want laptop driven journey music from the future? this
is them... Autechre from the US of A? probably!

APHEX TWIN
40 mins of boring techno folowed by his poorest set yet. (i

been to 7) He did play 2 Druqs tracks and some
oldskool Caustic window stuff followed by jungle and some
warped pop songs but it just wasn´t aphexy enough for me!
He
has mixed and warped a million times better in the past. I
do conced though that the techno set he did beat the hell
out of all the other techno played that weekend and it was a

user-freindly set all round.... but for me thats not good!

I bet when i download this set and listen to it again i´ll

love it though!

JAMIE LIDELL
Amazing! constructed breakbeat songs entirely from his own
lopped vocals live . what a showman! Like Marc
Boland meets Kid606. Excellent

I missed fucking TONS!!!!!
(especially the Wrong festival... we were gassed out of it
on night 2!)

i saw more than that of course (deadbeat, pole etc) but i
missed loads i wanted to see

- Jaga Jazzist was too packed
- Hassel because i got the times wrong
- Hvarski - i got the day wrong!
etc

by the way
Jeff Mills was fucking terrible.... constant and boring..
as was Carl Cox and Garnier.
Bjork was too packed,
Mark Bell was just ok but Hawtin was great!
i missed miss kitten, prefuse 73, puppetmastaz, etc etc

i didn't know hvarski was on, i never saw that on the
programme.

i was annoyed at missing pole, i heard he was ace, the
rapper fat jon was supposed to work really well with him.
i'll have to wait until i get the new single this w/end.

miss kittin, you didn't miss much. too packed.

cox was awful, but i can't say the same about mills. i
thought he was great, i was fucked though! agree that
hawtin was ace.

hvarski was at the "wrong festival" - a 3 night thingy at a
small club outside sonar. i really wanted to catch him and
heard it was amazing.

Pole was great except when Fat _John came on... then it
turned into CRRRRAIG DAVId style beats n grooves.. ych!

you two should have listened to t.raumschmiere instead of
hawtin...quality music there...but i guss if you like techno
hawtin was a better choice (i just cant stand that boring
beat...tup tup tup hehe)

hmm, dont remember...he was on while hawtin was playing
inside - the big place outside
thw whole thing reminded me of bogdan raczynski a lot, music
was quite simmilar as well (perhaps a bit more techno and
little less drum n bass than bogdan, but the performance was
just like watching bogdan-he (thomas) was all over the
place...and there was some girl doing vocals on some tunes -
it was the best thing beside rdj that night...for me that is

i have ginger hair, man! was that the guy with the baseball
cap.... i saw him too..... as a breather from the crappy
techno indoors. he was so-so, i thought... but i see the
bogdan comparison. he basically stood on his hardware all
night!

haha, i dont remember the baseball cap (and i was right
infront of him) but that surely is him...i thought he's
going to spin him self on that decks...
