Prefuse 73 'the underground Timbaland a sound that seems
direct and
graceful even as it explodes in a thousand fresh directions'
4/5 Uncut

Prefuse 73 and DJ 2D2 play their FIRST EVER! solo live set
of brand new material from the
critically acclaimed album 'One Word Extinguisher' (out now
on Warp
Records) at Plastic People on Sunday June 22nd. 'One Word
Extinguisher'
mixes mighty hip hop instrumentals finely spliced with diced
lyricism
and is drenched in early 80s electro, its like Aphex Twin
remixing
Outkast... with its sharp hooks, wit and wilful musical
terrorism.

Imagine what would have happened if Jackson Pollock ever
made a hip
hop beat. Thats Prefuse 73...! A fusillade of dirty beats,
soulful
moans, skronking electronica and subtly bewitching,
beat-boxing hip
hop... this man is a genius... Imagine all this through one
of London's
best sound systems...

After releasing one of the albums of the year 'Rounds',
completing a
headline uk tour, touring in Ireland with Radiohead and
finishing
production duties on the forthcoming Beth Orton album, DJ
Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet) takes to the decks to mix a
lush blend of electronica, hip hop and earthy beats...

DJ Food (Strictly Kev - Ninja Tune) plays a killer set of
dirty electro, fucked up beats, driving basslines and disco
dance floor stormers...
