Have you ever send your records as demo to any label ?
I'm curious cause i want to send mine to Warp , but i dont
know if would be better to send it to some smaller label
first...

yes, it would be better.

bigger chances and Warp seem to use smaller labels as their
A&R department nowadays.

and follow it up with a phone call. Even small places get
loads, sometimes you have to pester them a bit to get some
feedback...

hhmmm.....
...i dont know , a lot of artist's have their career that
way. maybe it;s no good to wait ? you know , you will wait ,
and when you decide - someone will be faster with similar
tracks...and then what ?

Send it... you can always send more and they might remember
you and give it more time.

by the way the classic reply is:
"Interesting... let's see how it develops"

"Interesting... let's see how it develops"
or
"thank you , we will contact you in future".
....
i wonder why they cant just say " we didn't like it , buzz
off "

On Cex's website he advises that nobody send their demo out
until they've been doing music for 2 or 3 years. He could
well be right.

My plane is to release something on my own, yet
non-existing, label and then pass copies around to different
labels...
