OK I promised to listen so I have (I actually burnt them all to CD and took them to work :) ) and I have to say I am very very impressed... I would single a few out but there is no point, because they are all excellent. If this were an album I would have rated it as one of my favourites of the year so far. As a collection of tracks it will be living in my CD player in work and for chilling with a few beers in the garden over what's left of the summer :D |

I am being serious though, a lot of the tracks are, dare I say, on a par or even better than BoC ones. The one thing I was a bit gutted about is that soma ends abruptly at 4.47, as though the end of the song has been chopped off. If you have one that is fixed then I would love to have a copy. :P |

I thought "ninae" was a bit too boring - not a lot of development, kind of static. sounds a lot like BoC. not my cup of tea. I like "larw" better - the melodies are more interesting, the very light kind of electro feel is also nice. it does sound kind of old - like its mid-90's or something. reminds me of Brothomstates' first EP. as the track goes on, it also feels a bit static though. as if there is a step you do not dare to make yet, like your holding yourself from really letting yourself rip. |
