KILLER MATERIAL!!!!

Get it stupid!!

its fucking ace, easily his best release so far.

more dnb-ish than his previous pure acid releases, its still
got that ceephax lunatic flava tho.

one of the best releases so far this year.

Monumentally mental album from Andy Jenkinson (also known as
Squarepusher's younger brother and as the 'Ceephax Acid
Crew'). The sound of squares being gently pushed is
definitely present here, far more so than on the equally
good but rather straighter and more mellow acid album
released earlier this year on Breakin' Records. And if the
influence of Big Loada-era Squarepusher is clear on one or
two of the tracks, this is hardly a bad thing, especially
when combined with Ceephax's less urban approach to the acid
sound, as likely to be influenced by a whistful, folky
approach to melody (albeit performed on a tb303) as the
crazed developments of jungle pioneered by his sibling. A
couple of the tracks are downright rural, circa 1113AD; as
if a hapless Ceephax has been transported 'Quantam Leap'
style to the court of Richard II, with only his 303 and his
606 to entertain the king. But even if his outfit is that of
an acid jester, the extended, moody bass lines and synth
pads that lie under the beats and sometimes madcap melodies
suggest a far darker and less comic musical intelligence is
at work.

Buy it!!!, buy some kind of relaxing drug, sit on a hill in
the sunshine, and enjoy Ceephax at his best.
