i'm looking for an artist

i'm looking for an artist
who spends hours in the night,
perfecting out his latest song
a song which isn't trite

yay for short poems!

okay, anyhow. I'm looking for musicians who'd like to share
their music with me. I have ambition to start a label (with
some, but limited, experience behind me) but right now I'm
scouting out talent.

I'm looking for exploratory music with a solid structure.
Organized glitch and/or IDM is ideal, but I am not limiting
my options. (I enjoy fun, humurous musics too, so long as
it is accompanied with a stong musical foundation)

Please no slow progressing music (Submit that to autoplate @
http://www.autoplate.org), or dance music. But that
shouldn't be problem here.

If you have some tracks you'd like to represent yourself,
here's the ftp info:

Host: hettinga.no-ip.org
User: polysun_ul
Pass: polysun

If you don't know how to use FTP or don't have a client, you
can login with Internet Explorer with this address and drag
your file into the folder

ftp://polysun_ul:polysun@hettinga.no-ip.org/

Thanks for participating and good luck!

"slow progressing music"

..what the hell is that?

cortical - no this isn't related to slsk records. Although
I wager that the artists i represent will either come from
that pool of talent or this one.

qrter - i'm thinking anything that's ambient or that
requires a lot of development... minimal music,
sleeping/relaxing music, FSOL "lifeforms", etc.

I love this music, but it's not quite what I'm looking for.

What do you think of this, fatso?

http://artists.iuma.com/IUMA/Bands/wmw/

Of course file sharing completely removed the economic value
of music, and making a label is just observing that others
made labels in the past and so copying it, when they might
not serve much purpose in the present.

i agree the idea of making yet another label sounds
redundant, unnecessary and fruitless, but i don't believe it
to be so.

Many artists have ambitions but never go beyond the scale of
making music. And in some cases, why would they? They are
musicians, not enterprenuers.

I too am a musician but accept that I am more valuable as a
tool to help more talented artists reach the ambitions they
are to distracted from obtaining. So in creating a label,
my hope is to populate the audience of the artist I
represent and eventually pass him off to the label they've
longed to be a part of. And somewhere along the way we both
make a few dollars for the effort.

So yes, maybe it has lost economic value, but it does serve
a purpose and according to the way i've written up the
contract, the artist has nothing to lose.

so there!
