ive recently fallen in love again with the in&out of tune
sound of BoC, but so far none of the other artists i listen
to create anything near this type of stuff.
i can't get enuf of the analogue imperfection especially the
melody coming in and out of tune, i am addicted.

So. the question is if u too r a BoC fan, do u know of other
artists who have the same style/techniques as them...? do
tell...

BoC owns me.

those melodies, the beats, oh lord, I can not get enough

they are unique in my mind, have not heard anything that
closely matches the characteristcs I enjoy about them

wow. thought i was the only one, lol.

something i certainly enjoy is the mystery of it all too,
like all that talk about geogaddi's length of 66:06 and
actually being roughly 666MB if u rip the wavs to hdd, etc,
a lot of subliminal messages etc, i like it, i like it a
lot.

well abou that 666mb thing....it all depends on what bitrate
you import it as! so i guess if you chose the bitrate that
would correspond to 666mb, then yeah i guess, but i imported
mine at 160kbs and it's not 666. oh well.

Hmmmm, I just started listening to them again recently. I
have to get off my ass and buy Twoism before they let it go
out of print again. What I would really love is a copy of
Maxima - the mp3s are just a tease -

yea, sorry, i meant the uncompressed waves straight off the
cd, i was just playing with codecs the other day and looked
at my folder with all the geogaddi trax in it, and it was
pretty much 666Mb maybe +or- 1MB

that trans x track is too perfectly arranged, it feels like
u have to put in an effort to listen to that kind of music
with BoC its totally different the sound just washes over u,
its incredible

I love the purist minimalism of Geogaddi.
the synths are rich. the percussion is uncluttered and
painstakingly eq'd without a lot of technical programming
tricks and their use of vocoders is refreshing. BOC is
currently my favorite music to listen to.
it just makes me nod my head and think to myself "ohh
yeahhh... mmm hmmm"

and i've added this topic to my favorites list because
people seem to be suggesting like-minded artists. keep the
suggestions coming! thanks

Zero 7 - Very vocal orientated songs, some beautiful
instrumentals (Download the song 'In the waiting line')

Royksópp - Very up-beat but very nice (download 'So Easy')

boards of canada have a very unique sound. but don`t forget,
they are a pair of chooocters from the highlands that have
been doing electronica since the 1980s so they have an
advantage. so i wouldn`t compare myself with them. same
applies with Autechre and Aphex. These guys have grown with
the technology
