Sorry for my lack of html. You should realise by now that
I'm retarded at html.
sorry

Anyways this tune is like haunting melodies or whatever and
I worked pretty hard on it and I hope you all enjoy it coz I
liek it.

Thanking you in advance - your friend in the end

(PS haven't done any tracks in a while as I've kind of
started from scratch again, but I should have some new oens
up fairly soon!)

- od

mm. I don't like this at all.

I really hate the synths. sounds like run-of-the-mill
house-music to me.

it's abundant in clichées.

sorry, not trying to be mean.

sorry od, going to have to agree with qrter here.

he nailed everything that I don't like about this track, it
just doesn't have the cohesion that makes your work really
really good.

It's sounds just thrown together randomly, and the synth is
kind of out of place too.

Just what I hear, not trying to be a prick.

i think its cute, reminds me kinda of plone meets taking
control from drukqs. not going to start a musical revolution
or anything, but a nice little tune. cute and cartoony, like
some of mothersbaugh's work. nice job again, pally!

dont get all bent outa shape, mang. let it slide. just
because the first few people didnt like it, doesnt mean its
rubbish. have more faith in your work. i liked it. im sure
others will too.

yeah man, you make killer tracks, we know that and I simply
sense this isn't up to your normal standards.

that's all, take no offense, i look forward to you putting
out tons of toons for years to come, honestly.

keep your head up and get back in there.

it's getting hard to tell what people like. personally i
love this tune.

i am considering not spamming any more tracks, just
uploading them and letting everyone find them if they want
to, rather than having it rubbed in their faces.
but i know i don't have a strong enough will not to spam so
even though i hate myself for doing it, you guys are going
to have to live it my spam (my flaws)

its not spam, dude. its self-promotion. if you dont promote
your art, no one else will. and why would you promote your
art? simple, you believe in it. you enjoy and like what you
do. you think maybe others will too. and they will, but some
people arent going to like every single track you make. i
know this isnt really the issue, and im not going to get all
up in your business, but take it easy dude. seriously. dont
get all upset about this stuff. if you wanna talk, IM me
sometime. you're a good guy, and your music is darn good
too.

hey, fuck that man, the day you stop promoting your new
tracks is the day I stop coming here.

We're all friends here, you win some, you loose some. As
others have said, and I really belive, if you like the tunes
you make, who cares?

I simply think you do better than this track, but whatever,
it just one opinion.

Spam away od, I'm leaving if you stop.

message my ego" fishing for compliments type thing.

liek i said i'll keep on doing it, i'm just a bit of a
headcase atm.

Did anyone comment on the drum programming here?

Blatant - aha yeah and you don't suffer from the lack of
spinal fluid liek I will! win win situation! lolz

Princo - chers mate! that snare sound was too strong for
ages, had to go back and fix it, actually I rendered the
finished ver of this song in FL like 5 times before I was
happy with it (things fucking up, ie the snare noise was too
stereo heavy, then that high pitched string note right at
the end was too loud and then a bunch of other shit was
fucking up, the usual stuff being too loud or whatever).
I think the reason I liek that song was that "classical"
bit, coz that took fucking AAAAAAAAAAGES.
:P
bit lame of me to keep replying in my own thread, but hey
why not.

i like my spinal fluid

"Speakin of peanuts, you know what else is bad for
squirrels?
Ecstasy is the worst drug in the world
If someone ever offers it to you, don't do it
Kids two hits'll probably drain all your spinal fluid
and spinal fluid is final, you won't get it back
So don't get attached, it'll attack every bone in your back
"

aha ahahaha i've done about 150 to 200 of them. my back is
fiiiiine.

but then again i've heard people on this mb saying that they
came down for a week after taking one pill, so uhh i dunno
maybe i'm superman.

i can also fuck for 10 hours in a day and dink for 15 hours
(not in same day though haha) so i guess that i must be
superman.

and superman says you have to go nuts and everyone should
dance because dancing is the language of fun.

as per usual, a completely ace effort by our little
od_step_cloak. =]

*sets neatly in his orange dust mp3 folder*

see. yes, the synth sounds a bit out of place or whatever,
but...at the same time it works. that's what i like about
it. *shrugs* i dunno. i've listened to it a few times now
and i'm still diggin' on it. and i think it ranks right up
there with the likes of rekkinize, exceed data purge,
disaster money, pressure gates, robbed!! hijacked!!,
and
especially dead at lunch. don't stop "spamming" your
tracks, please. it'd just be a pain in the ass for me
otherwise. keep it goin', guy-o! =]

I didn't like any of the synth sounds either, I'm afraid. I
think the problem I have with a lot of your stuff is that it
sounds too "default." Everything sounds within the lines,
within the package. I don't know how to properly explain it
and not sound like an idiot. It's like I can tell what
program you've used, BUT that's not too fair to say since
you mentioned you've started from scratch again with this
track. New program(s) I guess? Some of your older tunes have
had the same effect on me, though.

It (this track) would sound just fine if it were on a Game
Cube game's soundtrack. Not that there's anything wrong with
that, it's just that I doubt that's what your intention
was.

Your beats are generally very well done, it seems like you
have a good grasp on rhythm. It's mostly the sounds
themselves that are boring to me.

I guess I tend to like things a bit more dirty sounding,
production-wise. But this is all a matter of personal taste,
of course.

I think I've listened to most if not all of those tracks
before on that page and I'm pretty sure my favorite is
"every crap idm track I've heard in rekkid stores". That
track is excellent and does trickier stuff.. I like when you
do strange gooey percussion weirdness. The track posted in
this post had great polyphony in parts, something I still
generally suck at, but it wasn't really tricky or weird. And
still my favorite all time track by you is probably that one
on the old orange dust mp3.com dam cd audio correction
fluid, um... I forget what it was called but I've mentioned
it before to you anyway.
