Anyone know of a minidisc-mp3-combo-unit? My minidisc is slowly dying so I need to re-invest in a new player/recorder and a combination of both systems would be extremly practical.

I've got a Sony MZ 505 (think that's what it's called).
It's really good. Nice unit, easy to use. The only problem is the software that you use to transfer MP3s from PC to MD. It's really cumbersome and rather user-unfriendly. Also, the software has to convert the MP3 to a Sony format before it can be transferred, so it's a bit slower than you might expect. Still, expect to write an average length album to minidisc in about 10 minutes, so it's not that bad.
Overall, I'd recommend it.
