back in 97 i had a once in a lifetime chance to see aphex live at the tla in philly. he was supposed to open for the sneaker pimps, but ended up closing the show. it was one of the best nites of my life. it was right before come to daddy came out and he played some of that stuff and i was amazed. it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!there were halfstacks piled to the ceiling! i was totally blown away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

6 o'clock in the morning at the Warp Lighthouse party... Richard was DJing and drinking Stella, and all the security/bouncers were hassling him to stop playing 'cos the venue was sposed to shut down at 6 exactly... he kept swearing at them and slapping on more records... it was funny as hell... I saw him again about a week later and he had a big black eye! Dunno what happened there... maybe he got into a fight with security? |
