my cell panasonic can record ring melodies, so it's cool
'cos my sms messages arrive with "kesson daslef" and when i
receive call starts "donkey rhubarb"

my cell phone sucks. i drive a car that is not so dependable
and i have a long commute to work, so i really have to have
one because i would be too shy to go knocking on some
farmer's door in an emergency. i am supposed to have
coverage throughout my state down through chicago, but i'm
roaming all the time in my hometown. it is ridiculous.

I've always said I would never get a cell phone... funny how
alot of them are now cheaper than LAN lines and it's illegal
for Telemarketers to call them... I think next time I move
I might get one but I'll leave it at home... unless I
decide I want DSL over Cable... the web without broadband
is...

I have a really small motorolla, the newest one, its almost
too small.. really. Also, I pay 52 dollars a month for 350
weektime minutes, and I get evenings and weekends free.

i got nothing against cellphones... just the people who talk
loudly on them in unapproptiate places

but, im a busy guy, and im not home much. A cell phone will
help me greatly in meeting up with people, and not playing
phone tag all the time... etc

Agreed, I have no problems with cell phones since i only use
them functionally and I avoid calling in public places. I
always have the ringtones off when I'm outside the house and
I hate talking loud on the phone.

I resisted getting a mobile phone but I have one now which I
don't use all that much, it's a nokia 3390 w/ T-mobile.
Pretty primitive by today's standards I suppose

if I ever get one, I would only leave it the car, in case of
accident/traffic -need to call into work.

never while driving though, ugh, cell phones are bad news

I dont really mind mobile phones but i hate the way they
have been turned into fashion things and you are made to
feel 'uncool' if you have an older phone .

For fuck sake i just want to talk to people on it i dont
give two fucks if it can open a can of beans and do the
ironing at the same time .

sorry for being a bit negative about them but mobile
companys are slimmy little..........
ok im finished sorry.

o2 are probably your best bet .

lmao, good point there warpphex,
nowadays I'm starting to wonder if people would even notice
if they'd take the phone bit out of it. Seems like all these
kids do is install some annoying ringtones, play
games(????get a gameboy or whatever console??:S),
and SMS each other, and idd trying to be the coolest by
switching to a new phone at least once a month.

Who the heck would I call on a cell phone? The Ghostbusters?
I'd be one of those losers that gets a ring in the middle of

Sometimes a git at work leaves his dildo on, laying in a

don't get a cell phone if you live in the states.. the
network over there is so fucking behind the times it's
really not worth it. It's reflected by everyone's attitudes
here to cellphones..

People here in ireland can't live without mobile phones.
Everyone, and i mean *everyone* has one. I even saw a 5 year
old kid with a bloody camera phone the other day.

yea i saw 3 10 year olds in my neighborhood here in america
and one boy asks this girl "do you have a cellphone yet?" as
if 10 year olds needed one.. it's just really sad,
especially seeing people in public who prefer having a
senseless conversation with someone on the phone to meeting
someone they're sitting or standing right next to.

well, today I was in work, asking my boss about what kind to
get (I work in network and telecom at my school) and he is
like, "dont buy one, here" and he hooked up my work phone so
it can have unlimited ANYtime mins. Not just nights and
weekends... anytime of day! and its free as long as I work
here!

saves me some $$$!!!!!

don't fear technology. when people say "I hate cell phones!"
they remind me of my late grandfather who was always like "I
hate these damned computers!"

what you really hate is how some people use their
cellphones. just don't use it like they do. its really
just a tool. if you use it constructively, it can save you
loads of time.

oops, i just noticed that i mispelled 'convenience.'
probably because cell phone use has started the growth of a
benign cyst in the vocabulary center of my brain.
