Does anyone know if Christ. is really one of the dudes from
BOC? It sounds very similar, and there are many rumours...
but who exactly is Christ... and also, is there any
connection to Christmas Baubles?

he was in the original line-up of the band.
he left before they found fame and fortune though.

apparently he was just somebody who jammed with them at
school (lots of other guys jammed with them in the band
before they were properly 'boc')

he's just ripping off their sound now and trying to cash in
on the (vague) connection he has with them :-(

there were around 14 different people over the years in boc,
all of them just people that mike drafted in to the band to
play bass or drums or whatever for local gigs. "chris h" was
one of them. don't be fooled by his coat-tail riding record
company press.

how do you know for sure that "chris h" is christ?

chris h was given a credit on the original pressing of
twoism out of courtesy - even though he actually didn't
write anything on the LP. (he just happened to be playing
keyboards with the band in the year leading up to that demo
release and they credited him out of friendship. he never
had any writing credits on any early boc releases because he
wasn't actually a member of boc, any more than any of their
other jamming pals.

evolution of the BoC sound. They're both wicked anyhow.

i like christ in general, even if the boc sound wasn't
really a result of him at all...in my book, it's all right
that he sounds related to them, because he is.

you are wrong for 2 reasons:

1. (from watmm)
"Also, as some of you might know, Christ (Chris Horne) was
affiliated
with BOC at one point, even getting credit on the original
Twoism EP,
released in 1995. Numerous "rumours" and "stories" have
circulated
online regarding why he left Hexagon Sun, and some have
accused him
of riding on BOC's coattails with these recent releases.

Let's set the record straight, as I got the answer directly
from
Hexagon Sun - first, Chris was drafted into the live band by
Mike at
high school around the late eighties, playing drums/guitar
and so on,
when the band was a four/five-piece.

He had an on-off band relationship until around 1995, never
actually
writing any music or appearing on any of the demos or early
releases,
but was involved on Twoism. At the time he happened to be
around
during the studio sessions and was working on a techno demo
on Mike's
gear, so part of one of the songs was indeed written by
Chris,
allowing BOC to legitimately list three names on the cover
art.

He was left off the re-issue of Twoism was due to publishing

contracts, nothing more (there goes the drama) :)

Shortly after this, with Chris pursuing a deal with various
dance
labels (more the techno side of things) and Mike & Marcus
heading in
a more minimal hip-hoppy melodic direction, they inevitably
stopped
playing together. The big change came when SKAM asked BOC to
produce
a full-length, and Mike and Marcus had to concentrate on
that.

In spite of all this, they remain good mates to this day and
still
talk about collaborating somehow again in the future. The
material
Chris has produced recently is more in the BOC direction and

increases the likelihood that they will work together in the
future."

2. If you listen to the album it is undeniably a quality
record, NOT a cash-in rip-off. Download it from slsk,
listen, repent, then buy it.
