hello all,
this is the 'real' soundmurderer.
i never knew about this board but the last day or so i
started getting emails from people saying things like "i'm
from xltronic and you told me to email you for music".
so, natually i checked it out to see what it was all about
and apparently someone's been claiming to be me.
not too big of a deal since the posts i seen don't seem to
be slanderous or anything... more like free promotion, haha.
but anyways, i figured i'd let anyone that cares know that
it is not me.
all the best!

upbeat, crazy... like the Rewind releases. there's more of a
downbeat riddim ep coming later on Tigerbeat6 if you're into
that

'Wired for Sound' is just an old mix i made using a few
seconds of a ton of records. it's 3 live mixes that i had
planned out as precise as i could. none of my tracks are in
there; they're just tracks that i like.

soundmurder has my blessing (which means no-one else will
like it). typically im getting into jungle 10 years after it
was originally around :o/

nice style though, not repetative, mad beats - this wil go
down well with drill fans i suspect.

Im totaly looking forward to this too, the samples sound
realy good and i've heard some mp3s of Soundmurderers
site which sound good too. Think some are on the
album actualy.

If you're liking the jungle thing check out Remarc on Planet
Mu aswell.

Also, Amen Andrews part 3 is available for pre-order at
warpmart. This is the best one yet, realy dark jungle.

i NEED to get that album! i have an mp3 of the first two
parts i think, probably off the original tape by the sound
of it as the levels are screwed in places, and its pretty
damn good! some mad mixin skillz on display.

lookin forward to the stuff on rephlex too.

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-09-08 10:08 [#00855040]

the quality on album is not that great either, but i dont
mind that at all
i checked those samples on rephlex - sounds great, very
similar to wired for sound...cant wait

He he, I mailed the "fake" soundmurderer yesterday and the
email account was closed.

I really like the soundmurderer stuff on the rephlex site
and look forwards to the album.

offline ScenarioDr on 2003-09-08 10:15 [#00855048]

hmm, the bit i noticed was on one of the first tunes, the
bass is stupidly loud and seems to distort, is it like that
on the cd version too?

some of the tracks on wired for sound are by Remarc and are
included on his upcoming album on planet mu, called funnily
enough, "sound murderer". will be worth checking if you are
liking this stuff. im lovin this little jungle revival that
seems to be going on with rephlex and co!

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-09-08 10:19 [#00855054]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

yes, it gets a bit disorted, i actually thought that was
made on purpose...

thanks for the remarc info, i'll get that as well...the
harder it gets the better it is

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-09-08 10:22 [#00855057]

btw, im not sure if there's mp3 of rdj live set on sonar
this year available, but if you like jungle, try and get
that as he played lots of it and no need to mention that it
was excellent stuff

i hope i can get that mp3 somewhere...

yeah, rdj seems to love his jungle. nothing seems to work
quite as well for getting a crowd going as nasty jungle
though. id really like some luke vibert dj sets on mp3
aswell as he plays some wicked jungle too.
