Just come back from night 2 of a mad one, just played live
for 6 hours straight at a big (100 peopleish) house party on
a roland MC-303. Absolutely mental, met some top people and
the atmosphere was great. People doing tricks with fire,
juggling tiki torches and firebreathing etc. outside and it
was fun syncing the music to what people were doing. Really
nice to see people getting well into the music and cheering
and dancing like loonies. Met a lot of people I could really
relate to, which is unusual for me at parties IRL.

Oh well off to bed for a relatively early start for a swim
and then probably another party :D

Night night all.

All sorts- it was a mates MC-303 so it was largely using his
presets and rhthms etc, but we played lots of types of
music, ragga, dnb, goa trance type stuff, even a bit of
jazz/lounge which was quite funny. As the night wore on
played more downtempo stuff, trip hop etc. ending up doing
early BoC type stuff mainly just using the synth part of
it.

My back is killing from hunching over the little silver box,
but I had a lot of fun. The chap whose 303 it was is going
to come over mine at some point int the week and we'll jam
together, probably me using ableton live and turntables and
him using the 303.

I had a good weekend. No partying..because I don't really
do that. Just played odd sports that are public and charged
with a bunch of friends. I.E. Putt-putt golf and batting
cages yesterday..bowling today. Hey..don't make fun. It
was fun.

well great you had a good time! so did I and I can't write
propely... it's 5:42 here... and I'm in love, I even made a
topic because of this. This may be the best thing ever
happened to me, or this could have happened in 3 weeks, and
I'd be much better off... because of the trip I'm going to
make...
well anyway love is the deal right now.
nomatter how many 303s you have, love is even stronger.. I
assume...
well I'm in love anyway, and fading off to bed. off to bed
I'm fading.

i hate the MC303

i had it when I first started (well, I have it still... its
under my bed) but yeah... it was great at the time... but
then I got into soft synths and samples.

Nows its like, jesus, this thing sounds like shit.

so i didnt use it.

but then recently i was like, hey ill take it out and
twiddle with it, see if it was better then I remember....

but it wasnt. it was worse. sounded like poop is what it
did.

So back to under the bed.
