Anyone heard these mofos?

Kushti are two friends of Andy and Ed from Ipswich one of
whom is frequent Plaid Collaborator Scratch Daddy Addy, the
other Kushti member goes by the name of Blast. Plaid have
produced all of their releases thus far, from their first
two stunning E.P’s through to their debut album ‘Secret
Handshakes’.

Yeah... pretty cool stuff on Octopus. Like a more cheesy
version of Plaid

You can hear it's Plaid immediately... check it, you'll
like.

i've been getting into all my old Black Dog discs again...
they were fuckin astonishing before Plaid left...

I have a track called Stromboli on the Further Self Evident
Truths 2 compilation, which I've always really loved. I
think I have an EP called Lifers too somewhere, or a copy of
it, or something. Can't remember what that's like though
*vagues it up* That's all I've heard. I'd like to check out
more though.

Yeah, I was digging around and found that Lifers EP last
night. Its quite a few years old now but it doesn't sound
like dated trip hop circa '96.

I have a track on one of the Freestyle Files comps. Good
series them.

Love their work with Kushti. Tipivog is my fave track.
Actually on 'Secret Handshakes' only three tracks are
produced by Plaid.

i still find it funny that plaid are from ipswich. its
pretty close to where i was brought up and its a realy dull
place. i read somewhere that mike dred is from ipswich
aswell, who'd have thunk it?!

kushti is a great name! may have to check em out.

PS. Lifers and Freestyle are simple fantastic pieces of
music. Stromboli and UR Still Ahead are just phenomenal
tracks. Especially UR Still Ahead.

Yeah, Ipswich is duller than dull. I used to make trips from
Colchester to escape the dullness only to find more
dullness. I guess the desire to escape can fire one's
imagination.

haha, so true, i think colchester and ipswich are on an even
level when it comes to dullness. the sad thing is that i
lived about 30-40 mins from both in a little village, and
they were the big places to go out in, except for sudbury,
which goes way beyond dull to some kind of new level of
shitness (perhpas you are familiar with it?)

that name kushti makes me think of del boy for some reason

I never made it to Sudbury - never mind.

I miss Colchester though. In a way.

BTW, you are too gorgeous. What's a nice gal like you doing
in a seedy place like this?

Yeah, but your last album hardly lived up to the success of
Left of the Middle.

i know, it was the "difficult" second album. but hey, at
least i dont have to show my ass to sell records, though in
hindsight, perhaps i should, hmmm

that Stromboli track is great..... a serious party tune.
Mine skips now unfortuneately.

Isnt the wagonchrist tune off FSET2 pretty amazing too?

Wet Leg? I love that one too! I just dug out the CD... I'd
forgotten how great the whole things is.

Yeah, looking cute and having good pop songs is not enough
these days. The patriarchal world demands bare flesh. Its
Christina & Kylie's world; you just live in it.
