it was yeah, his set got the day started really well.
i didn't think this years was as good, i felt the venues were far too large for the crowds. last years were a much better size. the atmosphere was lacking this year even though the music was generally better (lacking rdj though). the venues weren't rammed enough at times because everyone was off getting wasted. i'll still go to ded 4 tho.

hmm, i dont agree, the first two years it was too crowded in my opinion. a lot of people got stuck in queues to get in to the pulse ranks and missed people they wanted to see. this time there werent any such problems, and i liked having the seated bit in the pulse ranks to chill out. i thought the atmosphere was just as good. its quite an endurance contest though dedbeat, its only for the strong!

fair enough. i missed plaid because of the queue to get in and i ended up virtually chewing my tongue off to dillinja instead.
at times this year like when andy weatherall, hellfish, keith tenniswood and dj stingray were really ripping it up there was just too much room on the dancefloor. its a small gripe, but you have to admit the 24 hour bar was great!
i was annoyed that thet closed that bar early this year - but that was because no-one was in there it meant cristian vogel got taken off which was a shame.
it is an endurance - i was fucked after it and then had a massive drive home (not as far as glasgow though)

yeah, you are right in a way, there was too much space sometimes, it tended to be towards the end of the night when the weak had given up and gone to bed :) this kind of music does need enclosed little rooms, for me it was just about right though.
the slump ranks was way better this year, a huge improvement imo, didnt realise it closed early to be honest, must've been elsewhere.
had a savage journey back. me and my mate took some acid on the sunday night and stumbled round some of the parties, we then went to the beach to watch the sun rise. ended up having no sleep. had to travel back to suffolk where my mates live, weirded out there for a day then had to fly up to glasgow. i wasnt right for a week afterwards! as i said before, roll on dedbeat 4!

^ | Untrue they are two different people. I was at the lighthouse and it was indescribably indescribable. AFX's Surprise set at glastonbury last year was top dollar. Being a bit older the first time is always the best Thekla, Bristol. 1994. It was all a bit more radical then when people said 'aphex who, what?' 'That's not music, turn that sh*t off E.T.C' '

warp lighthouse bogdan for me too.
dindnt catch much of rdj's set and no glimpse of bjork either. I was just behaving like a kid in a candystore...
second place must be for phonem and sachico m (the latter because of the weird atmosphere)

i went to warp lighthouse and i enjoyed most of the stuff i saw. AFX annoyed me and i have to agree the organising was terrible.
The Warp 10 yr anniversary was also badly organised but i loved Autechre set on the last night.
Chris Clark recently played in Brum and that was cool. shame i couldnt say the same about Mira Calix but im not a big fan of her stuff.
Funksturong played a fantastic set in Brum and Brothomstates (Mr Nikko!) also played a blinder. Team Doyobi as well - fantastic to watch/listen live.
Have i mentioned Plaid ? saw them about a dozen times now and im not bored as yet.
Orbital are fantastic live and im not saying that for the obvious reasons. HIA were also good live but its been a while since they were on the live scene in the UK.
hmm...i think thats it :)
