Hi all,

I just got Fruity loops and think it's great! You can make
so many cool sounds! One problem I'm having though is
saving a sound after I've distorted it and stuff using the
channel settings bar and other such things (i've been
fiddling with the wasp plugin inparticular). I don't know
what to do, but whenever i reload the song i've saved, it
doesn't sound the same - it loses all the stuff i do to it!!
I couldnt believe it the first time cos i made a great
noise and now it sounds totally different...please help! :(

it means you have an unregistered copy.
which means a lot fo features are turned off and will revert
to defaults when you save it.
either that or a badly cracked FL.

usually they give you a warning though when you save it,
saying something like "some of the things you've used in the
song are not enabled -- save anyway?" or somethnig.

oh hang on a sec, which version you got?
coz i think it might only warn you in recent versions

Sounds like the version of wasp you have is a demo... that's
a limitation of it. You need the full version for it to save
the presets.

not only wasp, man. could be anything
wasp, simsynth, the live drumsynth thingy,
beatslicer.....the list of extra bullshit you have to order
goes on and on....

I don't think it is a demo, it was a 28mb file? I have
Fruity loops studio 4 if that helps, should i look for a
crack or something? thanks guys!

dude the symptoms sound a LOT like a demo.
try this

load up a 3XOSC chanel, fuck around with it and see if it
changes back to default when you load the song up again.

try the same with
wasp
simsynth

if the wasp and simsynth channels change back to default and
the 3XOSC channel doesn't, then you've got yourself a demo
version there.

I used 3.4 for fucking ages.
I haven't actually uploaded any of my stuff done on ver4
yet, so yeah basically all my stuff on the net (except some
of my very early pages that no one knows about anymore) is
done on ver3.4

It's pretty reliable.

...imho.

Yes, 3.3 has a special place in my heart and I can't bring
myself to delete it despite having 4 installed.

I think it's the FL4 bug we have talked about earlier
here

aaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiii, more help needed! :P

I just got Fruity Loops 3.4 but I can't figure out how to
change the number of bars in each channel (loop), can't you
have more than 16 bars for each channel in Floops 3.4??
Thanks!
