CDs to take on holiday

I'm heading over to Bali this Friday, and naturally, I had
to go through my CD collection and work out what I was going
to take.

I ended up choosing thse:

-Amorphous Androgynous - The Isness
-Aphex Twin: Classics
-Aphex Twin: Richard D. James Album
-Aphex Twin: SAW85-92
-Aphex Twin: SAWII
-Aphex Twin: Windowlicker

-Behind The Eye Volume Two: Various
(This is like a german trance CD. I've had it for a while,
it's a great CD)

-The Cosmic Forces of Mu: Various
(You know the one!)

-Ozric Tentacles - Bits Between Bits/Sliding Gliding Worlds
(A space-rock sort of album. Really tropical sounding - this
will be good).

And, finally:

-u-Ziq: Lunatic Harness

There. 10 CDs.

I didn't want to take any Autechre-ish stuff because I know
I won't listen to it. So what do you think about my choices?
What CDs have you taken on previous holidays?

*starts sorting out what to listen to on plane*

haha, thanks Neetta.

(I know you hate Ozric Tentacles...but, you know. It's the
only space-rock CD I have and it's rare over here, so I feel
privileged owning it :)

Hmm...

Both SAWs will be excellent on the plane -- especially
because it's an early flight. I'll be able to see the sun
glinting on the clouds.

Wow, Behind the Eye volume 2 huh?? I have that cd around
here somewhere.

Cygnus X and Stevie B-Zet were on that compilation if I
remember correctly, and both songs were pretty good.

well, i know you arent totally into the Boards, but i think
you need to listen to it in an isolated envoironment of pure
beauty.
i've done that...it was how i discovered the true power of
"Music Has The Right To Children".

It was real powerful...

The last Prefuse and the last Four Tet is the sound of
summer. They deserve a trip to Bali. So do I....

You can listen to stuff when the plane levels out...

Just not during take-off.
It's mobile phones that are forbidden

(this is from memory, though)

When I go on vacation I just make a bunch of mixtapes.

Something really fun is to just pull up a good show in
groovetech or betalounge and press record and not listen to
it till you're away.

Here's a 3 hour DJ set from Tipper and
Mike Wallis that I took with me on a particularly
memorable vacation.
