I Pick Come To Daddy, no doubt We have the electronic satanic (richtanic might be a better suited word) punk pappy mix, the melodic drillin' Flim, the lyrically disturbing sweet 'drill-hop' lullaby Little Lord Faulteroy Mix, the groovy simplistic funny little man the chaotic dark Mummy mix, the dramatic UZ-IS, the metallic bouncy bucephalus bouncing ball, the feel-good ambient'ish To Cure A Weakling Child, Contour Regard which surpasses the original. do you agree? (26 mixes does not count, as it is a collection of 10 years work) |

drukQs? diverse? are you serious?? ok there are the piano tracks contrasting a lot with the drill'n'bass ones, and two darkambient-y nice ones, but into these genres it sounds pretty much all the same to me... i think ICBYD is the most diverse to me. |

i think its safe to say that everything richard has released recently is becoming more and more diverse, and he isnt holding on to very many genres as a single means of expression |

The rdj album is fucking amazing but it is a whole body of work, I care because you do, on the other hand is a collection odd's and ends that makes a glorious whole that is a little more diverse than drukqs. In all honesty though I think that his whole career has been incredibaly diverse and is in short incredible to behold, there is no other word apart from genius imo!!! That is my final comment on the subject of rdj. |

I think the whole Drukqs album sounds very Hardware oriented wich makes it feel less diverse then CTD. Its what? 30 tracks? but they all have a simmilar feel to them. Hard to explain.... |

You can't say really, can you, cos ICBYD and SAW v1 (and 26 remixes) are both a collection of material recorded over a much longer period of time, as opposed to material intended to be regarded as a cohesive whole. If you were to ignore that distinction, I'd go for ICBYD. If you weren't, probably Drukqs. RDJ is probably the *most* cohesive as far as I'm concerned. |

say come to daddy for sure and i agree wholeheartedly with uzim about drukqs-- there are different styles on it, most notably drill n bass n piano melodies... but 15 of one and 15 of the other (not accurate obviously) isnt my idea of diversity |

Oh yeah, Nacmat, definitely.... But it is sequenced a bit more 'album-ish' than ICBYD... y'know, fast track, slow track, etc... I guess I have basically manged to prove myself wrong there. Okay, what AFX records do you reckon were recorded as a body of work? Maybe none of them?, but I reckon definitely SAW v2, some of the ABBs (and HABs), and maybe RDj.... (acronym heaven, us IDMers like our TLAs....) (I'd just like to register my dislike of that horrible term, IDM) |
