Its my flñatmate of several years.
I can handle it but its a pain in the arse. I hate
people-chess! Now i feel uncomfortable in my own home

"She´s a bit forward"
"Shes here all the time"
"i find her false"
"You act like you´ve going out for a year" (its been 2
months)

Ok she is over a lot and i asked him did he mind last night
and thats what i got. Scuse me for being in love!

flatmate

----------
man, be wary of what your friends see though. If he has
been your friend for many years, he might have some points
that you have missed.

of course, he also might be a bit jelous, and it might take
him more time to come around.

Just try and keep her out of communal areas if it's pissing
him off. Obviously she has to shower and stuff, but if (for
example) she's in the bathroom for hours or watching tv and
your flatmate wants to watch somethign else, but is
uncomfortable with asking her to change channels as a
"guest", you can see why he might be a bit riled. Try to
work out if he's annoyed about her being over or whether he
genuinely doesn't get on to well with her.

It's always a moot point in shared houses, in my current
lot, one doesn't really like people bringing girls around,
just because he genuinely doesn't get on with girls and also
he sees it as another person using the facilities. Whilst
it's a bit arsey of him, it's a fair point and provided you
stay in your room most of the time it's not a problem.

ok now I know what a keyfumbler is... and I do think
BlatantEcho had a nice point there.

"Obviously she has to shower" - CeriJC.... do you know
her!!!!

Anyway...add to all this my friend is actually a bit
autistic too. I shoulda seen it coming really. I think its
more her personality than anything........ she´s quite up
front, but has been real quiet with him after picking up the
vibes..

I'm guessing by that comment she either:
a) Is a stinking filthy hippie
or,
b) Is an obsessively clean freak who spends hours preening
in the bathroom? :)

hmm

i could understand that guy's situation actually.

about 3 years ago my brother had a gf who would come over to
my house on a near daily basis and they would make love &
such, but all the kissing sounds drove me mad! good thing i
didn't do anything crazy.

i've never had a gf either, so that may have something to do
with it. perhaps.

We aren´t "coupley" in front of him at all.... he says his
territory is being encroached upon. a bit OTT i think!

.......I suppose.. its his space too and either i move out
soon, which is not financially viable at the moment, or we
don´t see each other as much as we have. (She lives an hour
commute away with her folks)

Try to find out when he is planning on being out (I know he
might not be if he's a bit antisocial) and get her to come
over then. In my house we try to arrange it that if someone
is away our mates come over then. Means they get a bed
rather than the floor too :)

Its all really sad really, the Autism my freind has. He
plays computer games and watches TV literally all day...
from Mon to Fri and works the weekend (thank christ!). He is
guaranteed 100percent IN during the week.
I´ll just have to cut down on the quality time at home
basically.

sound's like it's about time you all had a 3 way.
after an event such as this, your collective relationships
will seem so awkward, nobody will feel comfortable enough to
talk, let alone complain about anyone else's presence.

make sure to post some pics.

when my kittens used to fight we coverd them in tuna and
left them in the closet. they licked eachother clean then
were the best of friends

try that =oD

Or maybe bring something up in conversation that they both
like, then leave the room and let them talk.

I think the tuna is a better plan though

autism is a bit of a strong description.. has he been
clinically diagnosed autisitc?? or is he just antisocial...

i can see this from both sides as i lost a friend in a
similar way. he hated my girlfriend and i hated his
girlfriend. trouble was his girlfriend lived in the same
house as me and him it all ended in tears and we are no
longer friends

Anti-social means behaving in "criminal" ways, ie. harming
other people or things and ignoring your conscience.

Autism is a childhood communication disorder, I doubt your
friend has it.

Your friend MAY have Avoidant Personality Disorder, or he
may just be a very withdrawn person with no actual clinical
disorder.
