Get a pocket survival guide, won't teach you stuff like how to survive in urban environments, but you can learn basic tests for whether something is edible etc. |

Yeah that's the one- the collins gem pocket survival guide. Really good, a lot of my forces mates swear by it. The fish you're on about can supposedly swim against the stream of urine when you're in the water and gets lodged half way up your urethra by a spine in its back (ouch!). It then causes infection. |
