So after some mishaps with a flanger I retreated back to
harmonics and pounding at Mozart quotation with an
icepick... this is what I came up with

Track #2: Tryst.mp3
And the previous Track #1: Kadath.mp3

tryst!

clean synths and hats straight away

in with some fat kick as percussion

ah and even brighter melodies come over the top

damn this is very beautiful. your harmony work is the most
professional ive heard on xltronic.

are you really messing with mozart notation? if you are..
youre getting away with it very well :)

<- considers his ass kicked :D

Hehe... yeah... man, that's seriously some heavy comments,
I'm flattered mate.

Man I've had a long weekend... I have two more tracks almost
done, absolutely seriously sat in front of my computer for
three days straight.

Yes! Some mozart harmonies from his early work with a little
twist... there was some good quote from TS Eliot I'd like to
reference but I have no memory right now, something about
stealing other people's ideas being the way to go... oh
well.

More to come

Feedback! Come on, it's a HAPPY piece... I'm on a high from
a full weekend of cave dwelling flickery madness

They are decent tracks...overall I didn't find them that
interesting though. The production is good though...I just
thought the style was a little stale, I mean Kadath sounds
like a 10 year old Aphex track (which I suppose should be
quite good :) )...maybe it is just down to my tastes though
:D

I take that as a compliment, I know I haven't been able to
put out stuff to my full potential yet. The learning curve
behind software synths is just insane, so much to learn...
every time I make a piece I feel like I'm just scratching
the surface.

I'm triyng to emulate some older stuff by RDJ, John Cage,
crawl before I can walk sort of thing. Who knows, might
work, might not. Will keep it coming one way or another

Hey If I like your song I wouldnt mind remixing it, If you
dont mind. Remixing is fun. Xtronic should have a remixing
contest or something. Like the grand prize winner gets
record or something ...

So far it reminds me of Flim mixed with 4 : )

Do you have a website or anything where I can download more

Those two tracks are it... I have more that I haven't put
up, but nothing of what I would consider quality.

More to come though, no question... and any good remixes I
recieved, I'd be more than glad to send a CD when I get the
final album done. I'm not in this to get money yet... that
comes after I sell my soul

Kadath is a great track....though I felt you built it up too
quickly... when the first blast of melody started and those
fat distorted drums started pounding...I was nodding my head
in no time... the melodies are uniformly excellent...are you
classically trained? nary a dissonant interval in there...

also the track ends rather abruptly...I really like it
though...

I have some classical training, yes, probably more than
anyone else on this board, and I'll leave it at that for
now.

I plan on extending it and developing things more, I
mentioned a "dance mix" before, that's hopefully what it
will end up being... some intro, and a couple other tricks I
think you guys will really enjoy...
