Terrified of shark attacts? West Nile virus? SARS? Nuclear
radiation?

this was a story i was reading the otherday
inflight......and found it really interesting how this BIG
things scare us, and we tend to bypass the lil things that
actually can KILL us!

so what's the number one thing that scares you?

did you know they just found out that sars came from cats?
apparently it jumped the species barrier. it originated in
china because they eat them as a delicacy. im staying off
the kebabs for a while just in case.

have you ever thought what it IS about the spider that
scares you?

for me it's the speed at which they move, and the small
harry ones are the worst!!!

i can handle tarantulas......but the small ones are the
WORST!

okies......well we all know there are emotional factors that
can determine our fears.....here's something from the
article thats interesting to ponder

Dread -
Things that can kill us in really awful ways seem riskier.
We're more afraid of being eaten alive by a shark (odds, 1
in 281,000,000) or dying in a plane crash (1 in 9,000,000)
than of dying from heart disease (1 in 300) <-----now thats
SCARY

Sometimes I get scared when I look in the mirror. No, I'm
not that ugly. I get scared that my reflection might do
something that doesn't match my actions. Like a wink, look
away, smile, or even talk. I think I'd instantly go insane
if insanity wasn't already the cause of it.

that death is going to catch me out unawares like Jeremy
Beadle
and I'm going to realise just what a tiny pathetic attempt
i'd made at life despite all the opportunities, and how
differently i'd wish i'd done everything, but its too late,
i'm finished, and to die hating myself for it.
And then have a miserable, trapped, regrettful, afterlife,
whatever that afterlife may be, and perhaps be reborn as a
maggot for being such a tit in this life. And realise that
maggots are actually MORE intelligent and sensitive than
people. And that they HATE all that rotten flesh-eating ,
but do it because they are being remote-controlled by ants.
or something.

Most animals scare me.
Especialy dogs and horses.
Im nervous around them so they get nervous around me.
It has gotten better since i got a cat.

I used to be really scared of heights to but then i worked a
couple of summers as a painter and i got rid of most of the
fear , there was alot of climbing on latters and stuff.

What im trying to say is that almost every fear or phobia
can be cured
.
Great isn't it =)
