i havent had a chance to listen to the nrew album yet. i
quite liked the last one but it took a little while for me
to get into it.

flyswatter is my favourite. i love the lyrics and the way he
makes a happy song seem so depressing!

singers...

ill reserve judgement for pitchfork for the end of the year
when they inevitably slate the new tears for fears album

the T4F cover of radiohead's "creep" is interesting

usually the mp3 is falsely attributed to the cure though

1 of only 3 cover versions they've ever done, the other 2
are ashes to ashes and sea song by robert wyatt. i think
creep was just a bit of fun, he only played it live on the
last tour.

his version is very similar to the original. it was done for
a charity album i think.

also, theyve both recently (curt and roland now backj
together... awwww!) said that the gary jules version of mad
world is really good. i can't help but agree, i think its an
excellent interpretation. and it fits in really well with
the donnie darko film.

you know, I haven't heard the new eels album but there last
few albums have been weak. souljacker was just a rehash and
it was garbage, sold that one like that...daisies of the
galaxy was alright but nowhere near as good as their
previous stuff. I haven't heard it but I already know
exactly what its gonna sound like, I can understand
perfectly why the album got destroyed by pitchfork.
