ok hi everybody i just come back here to ask a question (i
know thats egoist) but i m sure ill find the answer here.
yes was she ? Björk is a small Icelandish town near
Reykjavik. and im going to iceland next mounth i need to
know if that place worth the visit

ah i have no idea, but 'björk' means a birch tree in some
scandinavian languages.

and i'm going to Reykjavík in two weeks too... i'll be
there till august... maybe we'll bump into each other...

Heh, I doubt that she was named after a town named Björk.
Doubt that there's a town here near Reykjavík named Björk.
It's just a pretty normal name actually.

That's not so close to Reykjavík really :). It's probably
just a farm, doubt that she was named after it. Might be

Yeah it means Birch Tree in swedish.

Trivia:: In "Dancer in the Dark" you see ALOT of Birch trees
in the backround whenever theyre outside.
That is because it is filmed in Trollhättan Sweden
eventhough the story takes place in USA

It means 'Birch' in Icelandic too, She was brought up in a
hippy commune so that explains it....
