A little game-test for you all:

Try to count how many "F" are in the text below, but count
fast and suddenly.

------------------------------------------------
"FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE-
> SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF-
> IC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE
> EXPERIENCE OF YEARS."
------------------------------------------------

\/\/.

isn't it incredible? why aren't we able to count all "F" at
first attempt?

i received this test-game by mail from a friend of mine.
the explanation (for creators of this test) is that human
brain isn't able to elaborate the "F" in "OF". And it seems
confirmed...

i'm gonna mail this to others too :)
does the text have to be in 4 rows as you did it? (and with
those > > >) or doesn't all that matter?

probably at an advantage here...

To do with the way language works- words like "the", "of"
and "and" aren't really registered by the brain when you
read them quickly- they're seen more as links... To someone
reading it who isn't as familiar with the language, they're
less likely to ignore them. Like I'd probably notice "et" in
a passage of French text, whereas a french speaker may not.

I'm Italian, but I counted just 3 at first attempt... so I
wanted to test this game with English ppl too... and it
works with you too.

This test is refered to propaganda and marketing men, they
use these kind of tricks for coerce our brains.

I guess the f's in of sound like v's rather then f's, so
that's probably why... although my mom got 5... she only
missed one f... so she got two of the of's..
