we have a rastagirl called beth, chosen by the spanish
people in a tv program called (kinda) "success operation"
(operacion triumfo).

which countrys has a singer academy on tv to chose their
eurovision representative?

yeah we had a program with several bands/artists and the
viewers phone in a choose the "best" one. somehow, i managed
to miss it, don't know how that happened

in spain is kind of a shit, a stupid program controled by
the spanish state to reforce spanish patriotism...

this year they have chosen a catalan girl, cause they want
to make catalan people feel as spanish... (catalonia is a
diferent nation than spain)

stupid way to manipulate people...

yeah actually the austrian one was class :)

Parents are watching it for some reason. They're into great
music they just seem to want to have it on so they can
critisize it but it's preventing me from listening to
squarepusher in warmth, i have to go to my cold bedroom :/

h8 eurovision.

ban it.

russian song was pretty good actually...the performance
wasnt that good but the song seems nice

what is good about this festival...i bother to watch all 26
contenders...thats almost 2 hours of shitty music - when i
listen to some decent electronica afterwards i get this
sensational feeling...

UK: The UK entry was fucking crap. This is what happens when
you allow Radio 2 listeners to choose from a bunch of acts
who have never performed live. Jemma couldn't even sing in
tune, kind of a prerequisite I would have thought. Still,
unlike less well off countries at least we'll still be there
next year.

Greece: Nice breasts.

Sweden: You can usually rely on the Swedes to roll out some
leggy blonde beauty and they didn't disappoint. Shame they
didn't win, their song was the most traditionally
Eurovisiony.

Israel: Again, another country with more than it's fair
share of gorgeous women. Forget the guy singing, the dancers
are where it's at.

Ukraine: How he could expect to be taken seriously singing
'Hasta La Vista, Baby', I'll never know.

Turkey: Shitty winners, she really seemed to be struggling
with the song. it wasn't even catchy.

Russia: Got my vote because, well, they're tATu.

That female presenter was well fit :D
