In my opinion that album is horrible. But the song 'Do You
Know Squarepusher' is amazing. I think it's Squarepushers
equivolent to 'Windowlicker' as far as vocals and
technicallity is concerned. What does everyone thing of this
album and song?

I'm a big Aphex fan, but I just can't get into Squarepusher.
I've heard a few of his records and none have done it for
me.

I'll give this a listen.

Hard Normal Daddy is Squarepushers best. There is a lot of
goodies on that one.

agreed! 'do you know squarepusher' (the track, that is) is
some top quality stuff! in a perfect world, that song
would've been a massive hit (the untitled 12" did get chosen
as NME's single of the week though), and yeah, it really
does sound like 'windowlicker's doppleganger, methinks. the
album is more of an e.p. to me, so the quality ratio isn't
all too high on it, and the live album was just damn fucking
awful - there's so many better gigs (and in better sound
quality too!) he's played out there on the net - some live
bassplaying and improv would've been nice for a live
release, and not just "uh, let's just play some MP3s from my
laptop"

overall, the album(i hate to call it an album but oh well)
is very lacking. dysp and mutilation colony are both very
good but the rest is not too great and way too expensive for
this cd and the poor live show.

I just downloaded DYKS (the track) and thought it was awful.
IMO. If this is one of the better tracks on a tiny album
then there is no way I'm buying it!

I agree with you guys. dyks is an excellent track as are
mutilation colony and anstromm-feck 4, the rest is like the
arse end of aphex twin without the genius. I think budakan
mindphone is my favorite (iambic 5 poetry is a winner!!)
lets hope the next stuff he releases is better!!

DYKS had some wicked tracks on it
the title track, kill robok and f-train are all insanely
good
