Its great to dance to in clubs.

I went to a club last night with some friends and all that
was played was Hard Dance trance and pop stuff.
But I had great time,I was actually dancing.
I really enjoyed the harder techno stuff though, its those
repitative beats that get me going I rekon.
I found that if I was open minded I enjoyed myself,of and
all the lovely ladies in short tops and tight mini skirts
helped too!(better than staring at geeky guys too stoned to
move listening to Autechre!)

Dunno, I quite enjoy hip hop or drum and bass nights, but
commercial "dance" really isn't fun for me. I tend to just
go and sit down while my mates dance.

Pop shit is the reason i hardly go to any clubs around here
anymore. They all play fucking pop shit and trancy crap. I
swear in one night i heard "Public Domain kickin' it to ya,
man!!" 50 million times.

Djs who break what I term the "4 hour rule" do my head in.
Playing the same track in its entirety within 4 hours is
tedious done twice, but 3 times is unforgivable.

Usually happens when they were too cool (read
unprofessional) to turn up early enough/ask the previous DJ
what they had played already. I once was in a club where the
same track was played as the second DJ's first track that
the previous DJ had played as their penultimate track.

i was at a stupid party once and the mc started to yell 'ARE
YOU READY FOR THE DRUM OF BASE???' and the dj played some
commercial trance shit

i wanted to throw my beer over the mixer and laugh at his
face while the decks exploded...

The whole 'I don't dance' thing usually applies, but that
seems to go out of the window when chronically drunk at 1 AM
in Rock City (which is the worst club in the entire world
unless the above requirement is met)... although the guy
outside sells excellent burgers

odd - you lot like in tntelligent dance muisic but don't
like to dance - ain't that something!
there is shit loads of excellent pop music i reckon -
nweptunes stuff - timbaland, garage etc - it's the festering
rock stuff i hate more - at least some pop is progreassive
whilst most rock is regressive and retro -
anyway i bet alot of you guys can do alot of clever stuff
with plugins but can't write a proper pop song with hooks,
riffs, choruses etc
