Who, like me, is getting rightly sick of OTT fight scenes
in films?

To my knowledge, you get a half decent slap in the gob my a
5 year old, yer lip is gonna bleed. Nobody scrapes their
knee and its generally a friggin ballet performance directed
my some "martial arts master" with wires and one-two timing.

I want more realistic stuff with the fucking pain that comes
with it. How can the drama involved with a real messy, pain
in the ass fistup, escape so many directors attention?
Imagine the grittyness of Star Wars if a half decent punch
landed somewhere?

Reasonable..though still flawed, fight scenes for me are
"They live"
"Grosse Point Blank"
"Bourne Identity"
and the end of "Brigid Jones Diary" was probaly the best
i´ve seen.
Agree?

ahhh.... a couple of snooker balls and a sock. TWACK!

Even Kurasawa´s styleised samurai epics have a great
realism because of skillfull realsitic scenes with realistic
reactions, quick fights. no bullshiot slow-mo, or
wiring...... no time to fucking think logically. in-out is
what you want. animal

Fight Club had some gritty fights even though there were
some pretty-boys involved.

I love when everyone has to go out and start a fight with a
stranger. It did a good job of portraying how awkard this
would be.
