Discuss.

no, science is a way to explain magic. a wheel spinning isn't physics, you use physics to explain it spinning.
or something.

Scientists wear white lab coats. Magicians wear tuxedos and capes.
Any questions?

Magic is what we don't understand. Since different brains (people) have differing amounts of understanding of different things, magic is subjective. Or something. Who cares.

There is a very long running debate on this between two well known Philosophers - Karl Popper and Thomas Kuhn. If you are interested in the question of whether magic is just unknown science, read anything by Popper or "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions" by Kuhn..
They dont get into David Copperfield and rabbits and stuff too much though, which I always thought was a pity...

blah, I totally fooled that up... I meant to say the supernatural is closer to magic... meaning that science is based on facts, the supernatural is based on faith and belief...

Science is the closest thing we have to the mythological magic. Magic = creating fireballs and summoning dragons.
Science = Flame throwers and using DNA to ressurect dinosaurs.

its the difference between natural phenamena and supernatural phenomena . Science proves that magic is Relativity anyways....
Our parallel world (enuith) uses a forcefeild of magic to ward off those using Black Electricity. Sources say Neanderthals had the highest level of magic...
However, Walt Disney advocated white magic.

i'm a scientist i don't wear a lab coat unless the health and safety people are touring our lab.
i can purify, replicate, amplify, clone, translate, visualize, sequence, genotype, and mutate DNA. its all actually pretty easy. it just seems like magic to those who don't understand it.
so i think science doesn't equal magic. misunderstood science just seems like magic.
