People are always posting up the sites of where they make
music, but without any incentive there's hardly any reason
to even bother looking at the site, so I think that the
people who make music should post up their URL, but also
include the names of some of their best songs, and a rough
description, I would appreciate heaps if you would do that,
because I've already heard some of it but I haven't got
around to looking at some peoples music just because I
didn't see why I should, but if you gave me a reason I
might,..

well,... I guess I'd better start it off then..

My alias is "serial rate", I'm hosted at www.besonic.com and
www.mp3.com (although most of my stuff is at besonic) I have
been making music for about 2 1/2 years I'm not all that
good yet, but practice makes perfect

these are a small range of my most original songs in no
particular order, (not all of them are published

Headache : this song starts in the standard 4 time, then
changes to 5 time, (which suprisingly doesn't sound akward)
then back into 4 time, then 3 time,

Allsynth : (actually doesn't use any synth noises, I don't
know why I called it that) one of my better songs, It has
very "electronica" tunes in it, but it remains fast, with
"rushing" kickdrums and a violin background to fill in the
very few "empty" spots

Machine feed wheat : this song has a videogame "bee
stinging" sound arranged like a solo, It is very diverse
considering that it only contains 8 samples

Simples : my most popular song, It has a catchy melody and
rough sounding beats,

Gestetner : a 9 minute track, It's got a nice orchetra
backing and an alright melody

You know that I'm dead : this track has a ten minute build
up into the main tune, It's a psuedo ambient build up
contains "futuristic fighting sounds" to a beat, It's very
experimental sounding, but maybe a little repetitive getting
into it but overall It's pretty good

pataural : A tribal sounding track that sounds a little
"autechre" in the way the build up is presented

As much as I have been slagged to death recently, I do like
that \'Simples\' track quite alot. Got anymore stuff like
that?

Check this out:

Download: CAT009
The Jaffa Kid Theme
Le Cros
Jungle rhythms Vol.1

All the stuff is good, just at the moment these are the
tracks I like the most.
What does it sound like?
Like music John Carpenter should have written in the 70s
with the inclusion of full on electro beats.
Dig it.

Allsynth is kinda similar to simples, and I think It's
better too, but the audience should be the judge, what do
you think?

TekN010G from Australia on 2001-04-12 18:22 [#00003320]

on besonic.com I have,
allsynth v4.32.3 this is a dark version
(with most of the bakcground, effects in the background)
allsynth v4.32.1: this is a nice version, with the
background pulled into the foreground, It sounds nice in a
"simples" sort of way but not quite as simple,
I might put that version up soon

there is also an "allsynth" v4.32.2 which only has the main
tune in it, but I reckon that all three of them could each
be posted up as an individual song, so I picked the best one

I just had a listen to "jungle rhytms vol 1", you managed to
strike a fine line between tribal and trance,.... maybe the
ending was a bit of a let down though, I never really like
fadeouts at the end of a song :)

Great track, A lot better than I expected!!

Jaffa Kid on 2001-04-12 18:53 [#00003323]

Thanks. I ran out of memory on my keyboards, hence the fade
out.
Check out some more and I'll check out your own stuff-heard
it's good.

I just heard cat009, really heavy, I like the way that the
background changes constantly (or seems to) top stuff, very
dark sounding }:)

keep those URL's coming
