autechre isn't something you should casually take for
granted by discussing it with asci (or whatever) happy faces
and LOL's and light sabres.

I find with Autechre that it isn't really something I can
listen to all the time... but when I'm in the mood for it,
it's excellent... it's definitely emotional music despite
what some people might say... and well, in my opinion
they're the pinnacle in electronic music...

my appreciation of autechre comes and goes with my mood.
that is to say, there isn't ever a time i ever dislike their
music - i simply either just like it, or like it hell of a
lot. with 'confield' for example, i must be in a proper
mood to really appreciate it, even though i like it as is -
it's just that when in a proper mood, a piece of music (by
any artist) which i like to begin with can seem all the more
mesmerizing then when listened to on a different occasion.
