i really like them, have formica blues and i always listen
to it when sad. seems that they are relatively unknown?! i
bet many of you would like them.

"Influenced by jazz, '60s pop and classic film-soundtracks,
the trip-hop duo Mono combined vocalist Siobhan de Mare and
producer Martin Virgo, a one-time member of Nellee Hooper's
production team which worked on Massive Attack's "Unfinished
Sympathy" as well as Bjork's Debut"

find them at tripnotic

they only did one album :/ but it's highly recommendable!

sorry if me/someone else have ranted about already, i did a
search but you know

I have formica Blues but I've never really listened to it. I
picked it up cheap ina sale I think. I just haven't picked
them up as they look a bit trip hop lite. But I'll give 'em
a spin.

I really like life in mono. Featured on the "Great
Expectations" soundtrack as I recall. One of the remixes of
it sounds a lot like portishead.

I didn't know they had an album (I knew they disbanded
shortly after mono - life in mono), I'll try to hunt down a
copy. Especially as I gave my copy of mono - life in mono
away to my ex.

baxter

i would do that cool hover-clicker thinger you've been known
to...but alas. i'm not nearly high enough on the ladder of
"completely-freaking-cool". or something...

album called 'formica blues'

ambsace?! hover-clicker?! did you not take your meds today
or why you make no sense?

poor imitation of portishead to me..

'life in mono' is the only song I like. but I like that a
lot. A perfect one-hit-wonder band.
