im actually pretty excited, im waring a tuxedo and the dance and after party should be a blast. plus im going with my girlfriend whom i have been dating for about 5 months so it won't be akward in any way. anyone have fond or unfond memories of their HS prom? |

hahahaha mine was last month, but sadly i didn't go. i've never been to a HS dance, nor have i had a date my whole life. i'm a HS senior and i graduate in 3 weeks. quite frankly i am looking forward to getting out. it's just too crowded, i hate my required classes (including a freshman history class, blarg), and...i dunno. i look forward to college/uni so much. i heard it's better than HS. don't get me wrong tho. i've had a few fond memories of HS, as well as being an honor student half my high school career (tho i took a slide this year). if i had a gf i probably would've likely gone to prom. actually i don't feel too bad. when i was in a NHSMUN dance in new york city i danced w/ a brooklyn native a couple times. ;) |

I have very fond memories of my prom... it was great... I remember I didn't get a date until last minute, and I was freaking... but my date was a friend of mine... not a close one, but a friend... and we hit it off really well and had a great time... after our actual thing at the school, me and a bunch of my friends went and did some things on our own... we went to a beach and had a bonfire, then we played pool for a bit, and then we went on a big boat ride to watch the sunrise... too bad we missed the sunrise, and it was real foggy and misty... but, a kick ass time anyways! |

I had never been to a dance; Luke had only been to one in 8th grade; it was our senior prom... we decided it was worth going. :) Oh, and my mother insisted that we go. She even bought the tickets. ;) |

yeah, that's exactly my lifestyle man! well..i don't tell people to bugger off or whatever. i'll talk to just about anybody. hell, i even get along pretty well w/ a few people at my school who are supposedly popular. but it's not all about quantity; it's the quality that matters. ;) |

me too... I will gladly talk and be friends with anyone... I don't pay attention to popularity... in high school there is a lot of division between popular, and unpopular though... I never really cared though in school... my feeling was, oh well... I never had any desire to be popular, as most popular people were idiots... but outsides of school the division is pretty small... at my university, the program I'm doing is set-up so that I'll be in the same classes pretty much with the same people up until I graduate, and there isn't much of a division at all... we're all pretty much the same in that sense... it's nice... |
