So, I know it's not supposed to be done, but how serious is
it? Will I get away with it? I need to send 15USD from the
US to the Netherlands. Anybody done it?

I have sent money from the Netherlands to the US..

just put the money in black card, tape that shut. I put it
in a cd-envelope.

remember to put the correct address on the envelope
otherwise the likelihood is it won't get there. and a stamp
is useful too.

and remember your legs when you go to post it otherwise it
may take sometime to reach the letterbox thus increasing the
possibility of missing last post
