I've been listening to early stuff by Coil...and Scatology
still stands right up there as a fucking brilliant
masterpiece. Followed close second by Musick to play in the
dark, volume 1. Whats your fave Coil album ?

It's very nice! It features the most impressively titled
track of all time: "How to destroy angels - Ritual music for
the accumulation of male sexual energy"

I've heard the mix they had on the single release of that
one, How to Destroy Angels (Remixes and Re-Recordings). Is
the version on unnatural history the same as that one ?

I'm afraid I haven't heard that album...

taking over our visual cortex to project images of love and
psychedelic colors everywhere or something like that

1. time machines (BY FAR THE BEST!!!!!!)
2. How to destroy angels
3. Constant shallowness leads to evil
4. Musick (both parts)
5. Black Light

rez > yes and no... it's the four solstice and equinox EPs
(which are not compilations, and should be out of print now
since they were produced only in the season they were made
for) combined into a double CD set. first CD being Spring
and Summer, second Autumn in Winter.

nanotech > Time Machines is great yeah. =)
have you heard Queens Of The Circulating Library? if you
like Time Machines, i'd recommend it as well...

Horse Rotorvator and Scatology... I don't like the ambient
stuff as much as their first few albums. Then Musick to Play
in the Dark Volume 1 and Love's Secret Domain.

love's secret domain, moon's milk, stolen and contaminated,
the remote viewer, constant shallowness leads to evil...
actually, all of coil's albums are really great.

that sounds confusing. let me re-iterate:

has alot of sine-ish sounds, comparable to those found on
said releases.

scatology IS fucking brilliant, thanks in no small part to
one jim thirwell (aka foetus). the ultimate rumbly noise
thrash album.

how to destroy angels is also top notch on the dark and
intense grinding metallic noises tip..

early coil definitely still stands up and is pretty
interesting stuff to delve into

what kind of music is 'constant shallowness leads to evil'
considered? drone? noise? i really like the last track(s).

they played it in the theatre after i went and saw waking
life, it was cool, hung out and talked for a while. yeah.
