please can someone help me with this

i want subtitles for some movies (because i don't speak
italian) and read about some programs which are made to be
used with windows mediaplayer

i d/l-ed this program VobSub and a *.srt subtitle file for
this italian movie..

i named the videofile and the subtitle file the same and put
them in the same folder,

but when i play it.. nothing happens
no subtitles :(

what am i doing wrong???
i'd really appreciate some help :)

just polih program

dude! That movie was just on dutch television a couple of
days ago (last week or something?). On Net5.

Everyone here is definitely right, it's really disgusting!
It made me feel a little sick during some of the scenes (and
i generally consider myself as someone with a strong stomach
;-)). But still, not a bad movie i guess. Because it was
broadcasted so late and i had to work the next day, i taped
it to VHS :-p If you can't get those subtitles to work i can
always borrow you the tape. (altough then you might as well
just rent it).

Yeah it's been on TV before...last year on SBS6 I think. I
lost my apetite while wtaching it and, like surrounded, I
can handle some gross shit normally!

"last year on SBS6 "

yeah but then SBS6 decided it might be fun to broadcast 45
minutes of black screen and silence in the middle of the
movie! (and when they finally fixed it, they didn't even
show an apology or nothing, and the movie had just
continued... so those 45 minutes had just gone missing.

SBS6 is such a terrible station.... it was probably the
worst dutch station until veronica came back :-p

Salo is a sick movie, but fascinating nevertheless. I like
the way it's filmed. So cold and emotionless. Like during
some of the most horrible scenes the camera is very far away
so that you can see the whole room. It really makes it
impossible to form any sort of connection with any of the
characters... nor feel sympathy for all those "slaves".

Really? I must have missed that part. When I tuned in it was
the part where they eat shit immediately (YES MORTON THEY
EAT SHIT TOO!!!). And I thought: What the hell is this?? I
was curious enough to watch the rest of the movie though...

any of you saw bizita q?

is this one you're talking about nastier?

"Really? I must have missed that part."

What part? The blackout? No, that was last year on SBS6 :-)

Last week the film was broadcasted by NET5, and they did it
very well! No blackouts, and not alot of commercials
inbetween either. The first time a girl has to eat shit
(when the one guy just took a dump on the carpet and gave
her a spoon) was the most disgusting i think. I couldn't
believe she was actually eating it :-/

Later on it goes a bit over the top... with the enormous
pile of shit at the dinner-table.

"is this one you're talking about nastier?"

i can hardly imagine a movie that would be even nastier than
Salo :-p But hey... who knows? I've never seen the
bizita-film you talk about... but it would have to be
really sick for it to be more gross than salo!

Yeah, it was the blackout I referred to. I've seen it both
last year (but partly) and this year. Curiosity I think...

Yeah that part with you mentioned is gross, but have you
seen the torturements of those teenagers too (near the end
of the film), with the raping and burning genitals. That was
just too harsh IMO.

there's a scene in bizita where some guy is having an
intercourse with some girl he just killed and whilst doing
that she shits on him...but that doesnt stop him

(this is just one of many weird scenes)

be sure that when installing the Nimo pack, that all the
DivxMovie-codecs are selected (it's only the first 6 or 7
i'm talking about) ...vobsub installs with Nimo.

i must say that the director did great work with this little

great environment/entourage,
but man that flick was pretty disturbing indeed, i don't
have to see it again, still i don't regret watching it

oh and the subtitles work :) thanks junktion, you da man!!
