I just rented and watched the dvd... hehe, and well, I've
always known I'm a sap, but dammit, I almost cried the
nostalgia was so strong... I used to love this movie as a
kid, and watched it so much, and it was such an amazing
experience to watch it again and remember old times...
memories are always bitter sweet though... cause no matter
how good they are, you can never relive them...

Oh my God, nostalgia just READING that...

[retarded anecdote]

My friend's sister rented us King Kong (remake starring Jeff
Bridges) and The Neverending Story... MANY years ago. Then
she wouldn't let us watch King Kong when she noticed it was
rated R. So she put in Neverending and it was great... but I
seriously thought it would never end and when it did, I
wanted a fucking refund. I shit you not.

I was traumatized after watching the movies -- They may as
well have torn the pages from the book, thrown the binding
in a mud puddle and ran it over with a Panzer tank.
Seriously, I've never been so let down my entire life.. The
original story is probably my favorite book of all time and
the experience of seeing it butchered on the big screen like
that at so young an age is probably the cornerstone of my
ever-growing hatred for humanity.

clifford the big red dog to television.

I once began writing a song, but then realized I had
subconsiously plagerized a melody from The Never Ending
Story...

it was like the mysterious theme...

Eb, C, Eb, C, B, Ab, B, Ab

I remember going to see it when it came in the cinema, and
my mate cried when the unicorn(?) died in the swamp(?) -
didn't stop laughing for days and neither did the rest of my
school

Ha ha. Some kid cried in our school when we watched that
film the Incredible Journey. It was at the end when the boy
was reunited with his dog. We fell about laughing and he
never lived it down. Rightly so, there's no place in this
world for the emotionally weak.

I've never seen it. I was too hip as a kid. I thought it
looked bunk so I made a point of not watching it.

Jonesy, Reminds me of a kid in our school who was generally
a double hard bastard who would literally faint at the sight
of needles... when we had inocculations he had to look away
or he'd black out. Even when other people were being
injected he couldn't look. People used to rib him about it
when he threated them, "Piss off or I'll get my needle out
big boy"...

the song is kick ass too... cheap no doubt, but it fits the
movie so well... and yes, the fact that it's called The
Neverending Story, and has that lyric in the song helps, but
I mean the whole melody and feel of it... I loved it when I
was younger, and still do enjoy it for it's nostalgia...
