One Word Extinguisher is out today. I love it. I love all
Prefuse73's releases in fact. Pick them all up.

Scott Herren lives in Barcelona -spain-, like me. We have
some common friends. I also saw him live at the WarpMagicBus
Tour.

He also releases under the names - Delarosa & Asora and
Savath and Savalas

What's it like Kirkle? I've got Vocal Studies, I like it but
I'm interested in seeing where he takes his sound.

one word extinguisher is such a good album.
not sure if i like it more than vocal studies though.

but it;s still good. i highly reccomend it.
it's in the same vein as the '92vs'02 collection

i hear it's pretty different

i ordered it along with the new prince paul album (and
j-live's debut album) from hiphopsite a couple days ago...
the p73 joint comes with the warp 2003 "listening" sampler
(has lfo, ae, mira calix exclusives), prince paul comes with
a bonus disc of 40 unreleased prince paul tracks mixed by
paul himself :) oh, and an autographed poster.

I'd say this release is a little more experimental and less
RnB based then his other releases DJ Xammax. I think that
the 92 vs. 02 collection ep is still my most favorite of all
his releases, but all of his releases I think are slick as
fuck.

this album is so incredibly wicked! Herren's other releases
(all of which are very good) can't compare to the sheer
energy (exuberance, funk, etc.)of this release. A whole lot
of tracks on here are capable of bringing any crowd to its
knees (of this i am confident)... DJs, please try this one
on people... i haven't heard a (instrumental) hip hop album
like this awesome since Endtroducing

it is great! took me a while but i like this one better than
vocal studies even. there's a tad too many in-between songs
for my tastes but there's just so many classic tracks on
there it makes me jolly

im still getting into this one, i LOVE Perverted
Undertone... but the others need to grow on me... at the
moment i prefer vocal studies...

how is the track with mr. lif? he's a lyrical genius (see:
"home of the brave" on the emergency rations EP).

the mr lif track is actually pretty short, almost like an
interlude really, pretty good nonetheless

i really like the album though, for those who havent heard
it, its a bit more complex than vocal studies, sounds more
splintered and pixelated, and its more upbeat overall.. i
kinda wish there were some more mellow laid back tracks like
on vocal studies
and he kinda moves on from the whole chopped up rapping
thing

I downloaded 'Uprock and Invigorate' from it, not bad at
all!

Trouble is, I probably won't own One Word Extinguisher for a
while :(

I got it on saturday, 4 days earlier than all of you haha.
anyways, its pretty good but I really dont know how it
compares to vocal studies since i never bought that album
but it is better than 92 vs 02. imo, 92 vs 02 was kinda
borring except for the first track, this is way better but
of course its a full length instead.

although he said he wasn't doing stuff under his other
aliases, he's gonna release a new one after he's gonna do a
new album under one of the aliases(forget which one) and
release it eventually.

whoops, I was redundant there, should say:

he's gonna release a new one after he's done touring and
release it eventually.
