okies......so anyone seen this?? what did you think?

i know it's been around FOevah but i just saw this FINE film
today (eventhough Gene Hackman is one of my fav actors)
and i thought it was so good. he was such a brutal cop, and
the CHASE scene (which i believe is one of the BEST in
filmdom) was soooooo edge of my seat!

damn......good stuff!

Yeah French COnnection is a classic =)
Gene Hackman's performance is mindblowing.
I like the funky clothes in those movies too hehe!

*imagines sido in a hat like hackman's*

hahah that hat was classic, and the clothes were mega
70's......ahhahahah

i've seen Ronin.....i liked it as well. i could tell it had
some inspriation from this film......especially those cool
chase scenes......i think i secretly wanna drive a car
around the city streets like that!!!

ok....so is it just me or when you see 'orange barrells' on
the city streets....you have this overwhelming urge to drive
in and out of them like an obstical course? heheheheh

Frankenheimer did French Connection II, so that link to
Ronin is easily laid.

That's why you think Ronin is a poor man's French
connection. I can't really say anything about the French
connection II, it's been too long since I have seen it.

yeh
fucking great.

it has also been referenced in tons of other films. that
alone should make it required watching for "movie buffs."

ronin has some amazing car chase scenes. thats the only
reason i bought it.

the only difference is that hackman has less hair and he's
getting high quite a lot...

i've seen the Ronin DVD for like 6 bucks......so it's worth
buying just for the pretty scenery.....hahahah

but yea.....i feel kinda bad i waited so long to see it, i
do watch a fair amount of movies!

tolstoyed you've seen frenchy II, should i rent it....does
it tie up loose ends?

if you enjoyed the 1st part you might like the 2nd one as
well-but it really isnt some great movie so if you get a
chance to see it for easy money...i saw it quite some time
ago (i think i have it on VHS somwhere),im not sure about
those loose ends-i think it wasnt all that connected to the
first part
