the gasman, new guy on the µ.....smaples sound amazing..... and check this out.....from Warpmart: Brilliant new album on Planet-Mu, written and produced by 'Christopher Reeves' - not the wheelchair bound ex-superhero with glassy, creepy eyes, but a very talented and mysterious chap who according to the electronic music community grapevine constructs his music from old classical tape reels with the aid of a Dixons bought PC. If you find this hard to belive, then it is even harder once you have heard some of the deep atmospherics and complex rhythms of these seventeen tracks, although the crackling bits and pieces on some of the tracks hint at authenticity. All in all, a thoroughly good blend of doleful, slightly sinister rumbles and cheerful mashups, the style of which should keep everyone guessing at the artist's real identity. And all topped off with some of the finest artwork that has graced Warpmart in a long while. Recommended remedial listening for even the most disturbed child in the class. intriiiguing..... Atop |
