it doesn't really feel finished, like it could use something
on the "outside", it's all inside stuff now, or something.
thanks'll, it'sjust a process really. if you had the same
software and did the same process, you'd be able to make the
same type of stuff. (i keep trying to tell myself that when
crunch, otto and autechre piss me for being too good)

good work, it would be very interesting to see how you made
that track out of mine! as i said before i'm not going to
comment specifically on what i like or don't like about the
track, until may 10th, cause i don't want to influence
anyone else's track because of what i say..

grarg! this is so hard!

and i just have no idea what i should be doing with it. no
idea where to start, what to sandwich in the middle, and
what to end it with...arg.

just seperate some sounds, then make a track like you
normally would, but only using those sounds..

sorry... i know it's not that easy..

they either take me about an hour...or weeks.

i know exactly what you mean, i'm the same way. but if i
spent a week, the song would be way to shittilly forced and
overdone.

A snippet has been made (so busy I can only make round 1.30
of the remixes). I will continue asap.

nice work.
this is the first one that i can actually recognize many of
the sounds, yet it is still very different than my track..

Thanx! Should the remix ONLY contain your original samples?
Mine has some other sounds too (my own)...

Points: 5264 Status: Lurker | Followup to more10: #00677051

that's fine if you supplement the track with other sounds
like what you did. i would like it to me based around my
sounds, but even then, sometimes they are so mutated i can't
recognize them anyway!
just have fun, that's the main idea..

offline Q4Z2X on 2003-04-29 17:35 [#00677102]
Points: 5264 Status: Lurker

shit i don't mean based around...
i mean it's basis should be made from sounds from the
original tracks, not something else. you can add other
complementary stuff to make it more interesting.

That's nice.
I only used those 8 samples provided (I didn't use most,
just smaller bits that would be good percussion sounds etc)
The melodyish part sounds like a new sound, but it's only
one of your sounds with a small part looped.

that's the way i think remixes should be, mainly made up of
the original sounds, but something completely different.
maybe i shouldn't have included all of those samples to make
it more interesting for you people... : )>

there's gonna be 5 total entries.... and 5 total winners :)

I don't much like that game... I forget what it's called,
revenge of the zombies or something? But the title screens
for each level are interesting. and the blood gew screen
melt when you die.

5...that's what i was thinking..

the game is called zombies ate my neighbors. it's fun for
about 10 minutes. a little more with 2 players..
there's some cool graphics and stuff in it though..

oh yeah... I like that "brew ha!" zombie sound, and actually
that part where guys with chain saws chase after you through
a hedge maze. And after playing (and beating on the highest
difficulty *cracks knuckles and looks nonchalant) ninja
turtles 3 turtles in time, I remember that the fly dude on
your other page is "baxter", I think.

I don't know how people make fairly complex avatars of the
right file size.. I shrink the picture down to the smallest
possible amount of PIXELS (60 by 80) in "paint". What
program do you use to animate that for example? and do you
make sure it's 60 by 80 when you do it?

offline Q4Z2X on 2003-04-29 21:14 [#00677389]
Points: 5264 Status: Lurker

animation shop it's called.
i just pasted one picture in, changed the size and color on
some of the frames.
they have to be 60x80.. it makes sense to resize frames of
the animation beforehand. you need a program that is able to
compress the gif file afterwards a bit, otherwise it wont be
able to have many frames or the file size will be too large.

Q4Z2X - i've been banned from the computers at school for
going to this site for some reason.

ambsace - maybe it's all the nudie pics.

and you had no idea what i was talking about apparently, so
then i tried to point out that maybe they banned you because
of all the bad jokes prevalent throughout the site (refering
chiefly to my own bad joke about the nudie pics).

or maybe you DID get the joke and i'm just yet again making
an ass out of myself. i'm good at that.
