This coming Friday sees the release of the X-men
film....I've seen all of the trailers and it looks
fantastic!

Who's going to see it?

I can guess why you like the movie so much, and it's not
just the storyline!

It does look good, and apparently it's better than the first
one (which was good but very flat imo). The fucking TV spots
are doing my head in, they're full of spoilers (as was a
programme I watched yesterday) so I feel like I've seen half
of it already. Fuck it, I'll download it instead. :D

Is there like a really hot minx looking chick in this film?
If so... it'd do really well at the box office! No matter
how shit it might be!

You know its true!

Hehehehe

revoir mon cheri! I bet it will be twice as good as the
first one.

CeriJC gave me a cool CDROM that came free with a newspaper
that had loads of X-Men 2 related stuff on it, trailers,
behnid the scenes videos, demos of the games, wallpapers and
screensaver....very nice!

I'm looking forward to the Hulk some more then X-men 2,
though I really enjoyed the first X-men, I somehow hope they
will make a part 3 that will feature Apocalypse, that would
seriously rock.

I want to see the Hulk as well, but some scenes that I have
noted from the trailers look a little bit cheesy in my
opinion...

The Hulk looked horrible. The whole thing is CG, llaammee.

X-men 1 was just ok but Xmen 2 looks pretty sick. Colossus
looks awesome

Gambit's in the third one by the way ;)

I can't really imagine anything by Ang Lee looking cheesy,
and spiderman's CG was obvious but I liked that too so.

Watch the trailers of hulk , it looks like a video game
intro for christ sake!
Im hella dissapointed. =(

Now GOLLUM is a different story , i read that Gollum is so
well made that for the first time ever deff people can
actualy lip read a CG character.

No Gambit=no interest

He was the Ragin' Cajun and the number 1 reason I bought so
many X-books. I still have Uncanny #266, his first
appearance, and a bad ass Gold edition of Gambit #1, wicked
series. A lot of my comics disappeared though. :_-(

Gambit's my 2nd favorite Xmen character. ( 1st being
wolverine, comic version not gay-ass-movie version).

He's fuckin' badass.

shame Ang Lee went on to do the Hulk after crouching tiger,
imho lost of these re-makes are a waste of time, money and

someone on here who said it was a bit flat. New one looks
ok, for a popcorn movie.

I think we already had this conversation, but it was about
the Matrix 2 being great. I believe the two movies are just
the same film with different crappy characters and a
slightly different pointless and stupid plot. If I want to
see explosions and a bunch of pointless happenings I'll just
turn on the news and watch something about Iraq.

It is good they added Night Crawler , he's my favorite =)
He doesn't look anything like in the comics tho .
I think they have casted wolerine with a too young actor ,
wolverine is a middle age man (in his 50's) or atleast he
looks like it , you newer know cause hís aging process is
slower.

blah! they never get it right when adapting comics to
movies.

I liked the first one... it was good, not great... but the
second one looks cool... will probably go see it...

but, I must ask this question... what the hell is Gambits
special mutant ability? All I see is him throwing flaming
cards at people...

that clip with pyro is very cool, n the bit where pyro says
'they say you're the badguy' to magneto - sorta hinting at
things to come...

i read in a couple of reviews that theres alot of violence n
that a couple of peripheral characaters get killed off.
my bet would be on colossus, seen as he is kinda dead in the
comics...

they should either bring gambit or beast to the next 1,
could be cool to have both but you don't want character
development to suffer. gambit could have a rivalry with
iceman (iceboy more like) for rouge's affections, even
though it's obvious who'd win her.

I liked the first-I expected it to be anal action-filled
story-less shit, but it was really good imo. Hope the second
one doesn't cock up.

From what I'm hearing, the Matrix2 will be like the first,
only with more action, more style, and less story. So I'll
probably not like it then. :(

Night Crawler is ace, I like the special FX they've done for
him. I was shocked that neither of the actors who played
wolverine or xavier have ever read the comics...

from the first one, just vastly improved. Great effects and

BTW, I also have that gold edition of Gambit #1.
Unfortunately, I haven't bought any comics after they
started sucking except for Sandman. Like, back when X-Men
changed, it just got awful. I loved Colossus and Gambit and
Nightcrawler and Iceman...

I collected Uncanny during Joe Madureira's stretch as artist
-- The Age of Apocalypse was AWESOOOOME! Spiderman used to
be my favorite until the clone business completely mangled
everything.. I loved the movie though - I thought they did
an excellent job. It was exactly like I'd always imagined
it would be. Daredevil on the other hand... Well, I think
that Maddox fellow wrapped it up pretty good. Speaking of,
I could sure go for a steak sandwich right now.
